I call BS on this, and every post like it.

If you are clicking, start, character, ok, ok on error message, back to start and repeating, there is no way you are taking this long. I have logged in mutiple times every day since early access and have never taken longer than 10 min, and the average is about 4-5 min.

Sure, you could take 9 hours. If you are actually waiting until "later," as the error message suggests, before trying again. If you only try once every 5 min., it would take several hours to get the number of tries I get in 4-5 min.

It's a numbers game, stop whining here and click faster.

Well I would have raised my hand 30 minutes ago, but I got in on my backup character on Ixion JP server. If I knew I could log in on my main in Cactuar NA server then I would be spamming that login button already. Don't feel bad though cause at least we are all together in this trying to fight this thing. When they get the server and all the other stuff straighten out, then everybody will be happy!

Seems like we are going to have a HUGE community with all these people trying to log in. Anyhow keep spamming that login button, you will get in eventually! NEVER GIVE UP!

Spam doesn't work anymore. It fail getting the server list, Start button disabled or 1017, 2002 error even before getting the character select screen. Its like that for me since 8am and I wish I didn't log out last night.

Been trying to login since 6:30am PDT. Finally after 2 and a half hours of spamming i got into hyperion!. whoop whoop!

Ummm go to hell? i had 1 hour 30 mins spare time to enjoy playing a game i payed alot for, i am and alot are going to keep trying and click faster? WTF? you can only click as fast as it will let you
and when you can not even click the start button then wtf are you supposed to do, so yeah stfu please

I have been getting the 1017 message on the character selection screen for the last ten minutes... Not even trying to get into a world, just trying to get a char so how is the world full?

and jmdatcs yeserday I tried for two hours straight just mindlessly pressing x and it never once even went to queue (which I have been kicked out of a few times in the past) so ya I can believe hours spent trying to get in. Especially since it's been an hour already I have been doing the same.

Yoshida Brothers just hacked into my account and crashed my game while I was writing on forums. Now I'm doing to the login spam dance with yall! Woohoo!

The reliability needs improved IMO, I get a message that says the servers are down a tenth of the time I try to log in. This is an MMO and most MMOs usually have the servers up and running. CoD isn't an MMO, but it has bigger launches than the 200K concurrent users that FF14 has had so far and CoD plays well about 2 days after launch. Since FF14 has restricted logins and character creation, I see no reason for the poor reliability we are experiencing.
