This is absolutely ridiculous. Im losing my patience with the game. This is not fun. Can we get a Dev to tell us whats going on and how long this will take to fix?

Same here. I had this in phase 4 and still have it.
I chose FFXIV 2 because if I tried to choose 1 it would say FFXIV 1 cannot be used. I assume 1 can only be used if you have a legacy character to import. FFXIV 2 seems to be ARR.
Technically it seems FFXIV 1 is only for those that had 1.0 account.
I really hope we can get this fixed soon!
