Are we sure he is dead? :o
Would FFVII be the same if we could save Aerith?
So, uh.. So far I seem to be the only person who has noticed this, and no-one seems to be paying this any attention.
We don't know Louisoux is dead though. Look at the light's colour change right before he smiles, the look in his eyes as if he's seen something hope-inspiring, and listen carefully to that sound. I definitely hear a horse and a screech. Odin and Garuda anyone? The rest of the primals too, I'm guessing, came to try and stop megaflare.
Not saying he's alive. Storyline would mean more if he died. But that would explain how the GC leaders survived.
Not sure I'm happy about 'fanwank' :), but I totally agree.
If he sacrificed himself to save others, which it appears he did (he appears to have been able to teleport/whatever others and apparently not himself) then that is a truly 'heroic' act .. the word 'hero' is often hugely devalued these days, especially in some US media outlets .. and one that attracts admiration.
If that act has no 'downside' for the person performing it then it ceases to be anything other than an act of compassion with no real cost: that itself is entirely un-heroic, to me at least.
Let him die his honorable death. (assuming he's dead)
Best answer, which has already been posted here:
He stays dead, comes back in the future as a spiritual manifestation (a god damn ghost, okay?) and helps us in some future expansion with some other apocalyptic disaster. Maybe. Probably.
I'll make a petition to revive him and kill him again. Old fool would babble too much.
a monument in mhor dona should suffice, do NOT bring him back. you can go drop off all your flame tapers and feathers and what nots~
We are more united in honor of a martyr like Louisoix.
