Then why you must talk about it NOW why must you make a god damn thread about it /RAGE!!!.
Overreacting aside ..seriously why ppl want to bitch about something they know for a fact is a fraction of the final product just to fucking test things out

I'm disappointed they didn't have a Lalafel option in the character creator. Also, since Lalafel was a popular race in the original game, they really should have considered adding more options that are similar to Lalafel such as halflings, dwarves, munchkins, and gnomes. I also want an afro for my Lala.
I'm being sarcastic about this stuff. Although greater customization would be nice, the line needs to be drawn somewhere or they wind up spending their entire budget on making a game which is nothing more than a glorified character creator. Plus it hardly matters how many options you give, some looks will still be more common than others because it's just a more widely accepted standard of beauty. Give people the choice of looking like 1 of 500 different morbidly obese characters or 1 character who looks like a super model, and which character model do you think people will choose?
If you truly want there to be more diversity in how people look, treat it like real life and give us a randomly generated character whom we can only make minor cosmetic changes to.
I hope this time my elvaan blue skin shows as it should be in game
I like it, looking good^^
SE does not deserve the benefit of the doubt when it comes to expecting more in release/beta. In 1.0 beta compared to release. There was hardly any difference between the two even though the forum was flooded with complaints. Now is the time to complain about stuff that is lacking. I doubt if we complain in beta they will add more before release.
Unless you think its reasonable for people to wait for months /years before they add a barber npc so they get extra hairstyle they wanted?
Lalafell only have 4 hairstyles in 1.0 they better have more in 2.0 beta/release.
Fanbois forgotten or choose to forget about 1.0 beta>release already?
Beta will most likely just be for bug killing/slight improvements. I have no doubt if we see no extra hairstyles in beta there will no extra hairstyles on release.
Albeit it might be too soon to ask for more hairstyles we don't even know if they are actually prepared, it's true that more options, even the chance to be able to change yours through a barber or something like that, were said to be able from the release of the game in 2010.
It's high time to see at least a few more options even if no one would modify their chars, because now more people will come and we will be able to have more alts for free.
In fact, there were hairstyles prepared that didn't make the final cut (or I think so), as I've seen images of some of them based on the missing Final Fantasy XI hairstyles like the "onion-hair" male lalafel or long hair female lalafel.
Don't worry! The game includes head wear. So even if you don't like your hair style you can hide it.
Because that's the way it is around here.
Person A: "I noticed something about "x" that I'm not really crazy about and would like to make a suggestion that might improve it."
Person B: "I don't agree with you. I don't care at all about "x" and don't want the developers wasting their time on it. They should be spending time working on the things that are important to me. So stop posting suggestions I don't agree with and shut up".
That pretty much sums up over half the threads in this forum.
Is it any wonder even the most neutral topic rarely survives the first page?
I do believe that SE had noted in the past that there would be more hair options in ARR, though I don't recall when they said they'd be available (at release, or implemented later). Either way, there's going to be a stylist/barber type NPC implemented as well, so people will have the opportunity to change their hairstyle during gameplay. No one is going to be "stuck" with what they chose at character creation.
I was dissapointed with the char creation video yeah. Mostly because of the bust slider the max size was at best the same as mithra in ff11 by default, good for loli cat fans maybe.
My 2nd complaint is colors. For example, the hair colors like 2 colors are vibrant and the rest are dull. I like the change on the mi'quote eyes though.
