I do know that the mog axe has 30 acc, but I also know that if I use my GG axe with 24 enmity I gain more hate. So in situations where I need an edge with enmity, I opt for my GG axe over my mog axe.

It is better DMG-wise, I never argued against that. I argued against that statement that the enmity from that extra dmg could not possibly be overcome by adding even 50 enmity to a GG axe. That isn't true. With my current gear set, it only takes 34 enmity added to a GG axe to get the same amount of enmity as from garuda's scream. I will even come right out an state that if you cap your stats with Garuda's scream, it is hands down the best axe after a relic if that makes you happy. But if you don't cap your stats you won't get the same benefits from that weapon, in damage output or enmity.

For comparison, I've saved a version of the same spreadsheet with capped stats and 50 enmity on the GG axe:

So syntaxlie had to switch account to raikki or hire them to keep the argument going bcuz you proved him right out wrong lol that's sad in many ways.. GG weapons are just right for the effort you need to put in to obtain them :D and they become nice when double/triple melded

let's be serious here, what in this game requires you to be as serious and anal about having the absolute highest stats possible? there is nothing in this game that does that, you can beat things naked, I know your video game accomplishments mean a lot to you but you are putting too much weight on them

You kids never cease to amaze me. Molly abandoned his argument midway through when he changed his claim from "just as good for tanking"/"one of the best tanking axes" to "can generate a similar amount of enmity". The former claim was absurd. The latter claim is perfectly reasonable. That's because WAR tanking isn't just generating enmity, it's doing damage. Just a tip though: if you really want to blow money multi-melding a Giantsgall, you might as well put some acc on it too. You'll get a lot more use out of it with acc on it.

P.S.: I'm flattered you think that I'm 1 person with 2 characters on separate servers that both have relic. I'm posting because people are being fed bad advice about tanking and it's bad for the game to have people tanking poorly. Some people in this thread seem way too invested in their melds/too defensive about not beating Garuda and are trying to create an alternate reality for themselves where it's ok because their skirmish weapon is just as good.

I never changed my claim, when I said one of the best axes for tanking, i was referring to enmity generation. And you can actually generate more enmity with it, depending on how good the meld is and how far from stat caps you are (which is key to it being a better axe). I'm sorry that you can't follow my logic, but I've been making the same claim the whole time.

Except generating marginally more enmity at the cost of damage doesn't make an axe better. WAR is a DD tank. Your job is to do damage and tank. You can't ignore half the equation.
