Why must chocobos be our companions

I was more alluding to the fact that the poster I quoted had petitions and such for moogles in his sig.

It's why earlier it was said when you think of companions in a FF game you think of Chocobos and Moogles more than anythin.

We already have chocobos wearing armor. What do you think barding is?

Im fine with chocos as companions, but i'd rather have my horny mithran partner back. Like the fellows on XI.

Wow, Idk much about RedXIII, so what's with such strong feelings? Yeah I'm no hardcore FF fan. I've only played some of FF7, FF10 extensively, FF11 & some FF13.

maybe not red XII itself, but one of his species could still be acceptable...
anyhow fighting chocobos are an extremely old new, you're too late on the party to whine about it. The current barding are for fighting, even if now are just for show

Because it's the equivalent to adding Sephiroth in as a companion. I don't mind the mount system they have planned for the future, because those are all mobs in the current FF. Stuff like Magitek is acceptable, because it actually exists in this game. Adding in Red XIII as a mount would be no better than the retconning Blizzard constantly does with WoW.

in game lore, chocobo itself isn't native of eorzea. They could release a new expantion with a new continent and fill it with bangaa, viera and ronso, and still be totally legit :||

Except....they have ripped some things "shamelessly" already and will be doing so in the future (did you see Typhoon?) I get what you mean but they are straight ripping things so don't be surprised, this is a fanservice game, they already straight ripped Magitek models and you're not bitching lol.
