okay but like i said outside of the community aspect of things they are fundamentally different functionally, two or three expacs from now i can probably solos all of endwalker savage and get what i want, you cant do that with pvp.... you never could.
beyond the community, to compare pvp is just... not possible and pve is less of a problem vs pvp lol

Hey bud, sorry you feel that way. But the thread was debased beginning with the 3rd post and became completely derailed before we even reached the 2nd page as we began to call ranked a 50/50 coinflip mode. I was honestly unsure whether to even reply to this lest I contribute to further taking the OP's point of discussion even further off the rails.

Players have put in a literal exponential amount of effort into mastering PvP to be able to win consistently compared to the most challenging aspects of PvE. So much so that it actually seems to be unfathomable for many on these forums.

I'm sure I don't speak for everyone but if I had to take a guess, clearing an ultimate probably takes around 200-250 attemps before you can finally get your shiny. Whereas many players consistently on the leaderboards have only been able to get there after literally thousands of wins (not counting possibly 2x lost games!) and not even including previous Feast experience. And after all that effort, are called cheaters, win traders, etc. If players would use the forums instead to ask for advice, post their videos and ask for help etc. Many people (including myself) would be more than happy to help.

But SE has been very generous this time around in allowing players to recieve rewards without needing to be on the leaderboards, without even needing to be crystal rank, and without FOMO. Somehow people on the western forums are still not satisfied and call for the efforts of everyone else to be deleted outright.

Ultimate raids have the same level of commitment of time to high end content for people in their respective fields with a large dependency on other players with the reward of an existing weapon having a unique glow. Surprised no one complains about those rewards being locked behind Ultimates at all.

im pretty sure nobody including raiders actually care about ultimate raids, somebody im close to actually did all of them and told me they hated every single one lol
also those weapons are butt ugly and/or reskins of equally butt ugly weapons lol

last time i saw somebody with a Ultimate bahamut weapon i kinda laughed and said; 'Man i can't believe you did all that for a ugly potassium weapon.'
aparently i bruised their ego and they tried to get me kicked out of my previous FC lol

...I'm not sure what to say here. Sure, you are free to think all ultimate weapons look butt ugly when someone else thinks they look amazing... but to say "I can't believe you did all that for an ugly <x>" feels just unnecessarily mocking.

Yeah you did bruise someone's ego and and took an absolute shit on their pride and happiness for having beaten that fight. I don't understand how you find it funny how they reacted.

I find it funny because they went and did all that for a piss colored weapon and they got mad when i basically said i personally did not like it.

pretty sure its normal for one to laugh at childish behavior's.

I mean, you can say that the reward for doing the content is mid, I personally think they are too cuz of how horribly textured they are. But I wouldn't go as far as to mock others for it for it, that's just needlessly being rude because you mildly dislike something that someone else is into lol.
