MNK endgame gear?

Yeah I'd choose str over att on gloves. Triple meld would be nice but you can reach caps with only double melded gear. I sit at 349 STR without food ( 355 with smoked rapper) and 315 INT. I only have double melded str gloves and double melded trousers. I use +1 rubellite in the accesories slots with explorers earrings and electrum gorget+1. Head and feet I use darklight and have the storm sergeants hooks for the sanction +40 INT. Body is gryphonskin tunic double melded with crit att power. Waist I have the veterans belt but I'll be changing that to a belt I can meld with sanguinary might for more crit att. Only got the storm hooks today so I'm undecided as to if I prefer them over garudas yet.

Quick question, would you guys pick Gridanian Officer's Overcoat over the MNK AF body? or any of the gridanians officer gear for any of the mnk af?

yes. If you can get your str cap w/o needing str from bodypiece then the crit att is very nice.

I saw a lot of you recommanding Darklight Caligae as a feet choice. I guess it's mainly because of the +20 crit att power ?
If I'm right, is it worth using them if I don't have any gear boosting my crit rate (eyepatch for example) ? I parsed a couple MM fight and my crit rate goes to 3 to 4% which seems pretty low.

Oh, and while I'm at it : charlemagne, did you have time to test the hooks vs garuda's ? I'm thinking of getting the hooks since they could get me to 349 str 319 int but since my ls now kills garuda on a regular basis I might just wait for the talons to drop if they're not worth it.

I haven't done any large amount of testing with the hooks vs the talons yet I've been kinda busy logging for hamlet materials. I did do a quick rough test though. I Tested them out on lvl 54 boars at brittlebark. I only did a small test killing 10 mobs each with both weapons. There was a significant ws dmg increase with the hooks. It's only a quick look rather than a real test though so maybe too early to read anything into it on such a small sample size.
I would still get the talons though. The dmg increase on hooks didn't seem to make up for the loss of accuracy while soloing against high level mobs. If you're doing something like the mistress in a party I'd go with the hooks.
The darklight calligae are still best in slot even without much +crit rate gear. +crit rate seems to be of limited value and doesn't give that much of a crit rate boost but obviously you still have blindside. The calligae aren't actually a great piece but they are still better than anything else out there, the feet slot doesn't have many good options. Crit Att is definitely worth stacking though if you want to get the big numbers with your Blood for blood/blindside howling fist.

Don't forget the 10 acc the calligae provides. For a monk, crit rate is not that big of a concern since you are forcing crits with blindside anyway. Crit Atk power can really boost your Howling Fist damage.

I'd recommend using the Uldahn Officer's Boots if you're immortal flames, when you have sanction active. They are +5 acc and +40 crit attack power which imo is better than calligae. ONLY if you have sanction active, so I usually carry around 2 sets of gear.
