I was forced to move to a new DC that is entirely dead if I wanted to have a house. had I not moved, the bad faith arguers of the housing forum would have said it was my fault for not giving up my FC and moving to a DC with available housing (that's also dead with 30 minute queues to do anything). I had to give up my FC, FC buffs, everything to move and start on a new server if I wanted to have housing. If I can do it than so can FCs.

If you're talking about Dynamis, you're the one arguing in bad faith. Longest queue time I've experienced so far is 13 minutes so saying there are 30 minute queues to do "anything" is 100% false.

You may not be able to be a FC member but that doesn't mean you have to give up the FC. I've remained friends with one of my past FCs and do things with them on occasion.

You may not have access to that FC's buffs but you will gain access to the buffs of the FC that you join/create after transfer.

You didn't have to give up your glamour collection, retainers, items stored in inventory, jobs, levels, XP, currencies, etc. to transfer. Clearly you didn't have to give up everything.

You undermine the good points you could have been making about the drawbacks to transferring to a new world but instead chose to use bad faith arguments and exaggerations.

exactly! on Dynamis, all the private wards filled up very quickly, most all the FC wards are still near empty except a few where ONE fc bought up a majority of the ward.

I mean... all the private wards where? If we're talking about Seraph, then yeah. But on Maduin, I managed to gift my FC members guaranteed Shirogane plots right next to my medium, some even a couple weeks ago. The Goblet's pretty empty, and an FC member of mine just got a Lav beds plot like, this go round. All of these uncontested.

Gross exaggeration doesn't help any argument you are trying to make. Even Seraph has a couple of dozen smalls, 3 medium and 2 large left in the current personal wards. Wards 10-12 will be switching from FC to personal when the lottery starts in a few hours. Those wards are mostly empty still. You won't be able to get a large in them but there are several mediums still available not to mention almost all of the smalls. The other Dynamis worlds have even more available.

Does SE favor reserving housing for FCs? Of course. There are FC only features gated by ownership of a house. They want to make sure that FCs are able to get one.

Are there still plenty of plots available for individual buyers? Yes. All it takes is for a player who wants a house to go to where they are available. As long as you stay within the same region, there's nothing stopping friends from being able to keep playing with friends. Most players have communication channels they use with their friends outside of the game so the lack of region-wide linkshells shouldn't be a deterrent.

To be fair, it's very frustrating to see players abuse loopholes to claim an entire ward to themselves just like the one shown in the image link.

Thankfully, the one that was listed is in ward 4 which means private owners are mostly unaffected by the conversion of wards 10 to 12 from FC wards to personal wards in Dynamis.

Imagine how much worse the situation would be if the hoarders purposely snapped up FC plots in wards 10 to 12 in anticipation of the ward switch.

I like how they've inadvertently created a worse system than before by doing this, and making the wards split between personals and FCs. Now, the best method is, rather than just bidding on your house and forgetting about it; to wait, see which house gets bombarded by people who have 300m+ and a shell fc, and bid by the last minute.

How is this better than first come first serve if your best shot is being on at a specific time of day again? Why didn't they just make all the wards personal only? or 1:5 personal? Why isn't it obvious that there isn't FC demand?
