$100 says if they added instanced housing people would absolutely complain about it being immersion breaking because the house would be in a basic instance without the rest of the area and other houses and players running around.

Bruh we don't know anything about Island Sanctuary I'm not getting my hopes up lol. For all we know it's just an island where you can't place any existing furniture and all you can do is garden.
And Island Sanc. still doesn't solve the problem with how apartments is barebones. Yoshi-P wants housing to feel like a community so.. why not a shared outdoor space for apartments where you see other people? It's not like they don't exist lol.
Also there's this concept of... multiple options lmao. Why not both, I mean you can have an apartment and a house anyways.
Considering the majority of wards on Lich (my home world) are dead, it's basically instanced housing anyway. I check them from time-to-time and beyond a few FCs and some RP spots, most wards are dead and the houses barely change either. I don't see why instanced housing would actually be that bad. In fact, you could actually make future housing wards into the main cities and stuff directly rather than cornering them off into their own sections under that model.
Exactly. And after the one shot, there'll be very little left to lottery. If they MUST lottery, rather than making you just pick one plot, they should just put everyone interested in a big pool and distribute that way.
The lottery isn't a bad idea when there's just a few plots open and it's better than camping (though guess what, bots can still win, and likely will as there can be multiples). It's a ridiculous idea for Materia that will have all the wards open that way. It's better to use landrush for new wards, then use the lottery for resales.
Are you replying just to argue with me or what lmfao. Read back to my first post where I said, "yeah balconies could be added to add some outdoor furniture". If it's just gardening, still don't see why we can't have both apartment gardening and island sanc? Again we don't know anything about Island Sanc. and until there's more details on it, I'm not commenting on it. If island sanc. is just gardening, that's just full on disappointing bro, I can't cap.
Under the old/current system, you aren't guaranteed a mansion and have to compete with a lot of other players who also have gil to buy the mansion. You could have multiple people in your FC try and buy the mansion too but they all need to have enough gil on them to purchase. So how is this a slap to people without houses?
What I'd like know, can multiple people from and FC put in lottery entries for different plots? It Didn't clarify that, as it said only one character may register an entry, but not if you could send FC members to try for different plots on the same lottery period, assuming you have the funds. For example, can I put a bid on a mansion, and have my other FC leader put another bid on an entirely different mansion somewhere else. If this were the case, I guess you'd run the risk of losing gil, on the off chance you win both, since you can only relocate/move to one. But that's hardly a concern. Maybe an FC acts as one entity, or one "character", so it (it being whoever in the FC makes the first bid) would only be able to try for a single plot. I just wish it clarified that somewhere, idk, maybe I just missed it in the post.
