Instance this Instanced that! ( Pre 2.0 talk!)

I know was just trying to put things in perspective. I'm in favor of both types of content and hope we see plenty of each. A part of what I think separated FFXI from other games was the uniqueness of some events. Combine with the time commitment it took to get anywhere or anything in that game kinda forces fond memories.

Really, i dont have anything against that people have fun with claim"wars".
I fail to see in which way it should be a "competition".
Skill doesnt really matter, its more the luck factor off standing near the spawn but more importantly the ping.(at least with current Server)
Well dont take it the wrong way, if you believe its a form of competition i dont want to proof you or anyone wrong or something. (fun is the important thing)

But that is why we need both in the same amount.
Some People love Open World Content with Claimwars e.t.c and some just dont have the time or intention to camp and claim against other people.
Instances are Imprortant just like Open World...having everything instanced will result in having a dead world and then we could also play the Game simply in a chat room/Lobby because we practically dont need a World.

i despise instanced content and what it has done to MMO's in general. it allows easy mass garbage runs with little to no lore and it allows dev's to be even lazier on design phase (where already seeing this). it should be called what it is, a Single Player Online with Co-Op.

besides we are getting zones, i don't know why anyone would want to instance a zone. there is no need.

Instanced stuff is for Dynamis everything should be open-word else-wise. Otherwise its just another lets do this a quadrillion times with no competition and it doesn't matter if we wipe. It should be done away with IMO.

I have no problems with instance, but hamlet was just so disappointing for the fact it suppose to be content where you protect the hamlet from an incoming invasion, and yet its a "Hey guys the hamlet is under attack but not till you and 8 friends come"
