Yoshi-P confirms no re-release of past Feast Rewards

Its green. Not really a re-release. Just a break in tradition. I have the red and blue ones. If I see someone with a green one that doesn't have a red and blue one I'm not going to lose my mind and unsub.
I really really want the old season 1 and 2 armor. Recolor it again. The tank looking armor needs to stop for awhile.

I hope its this case too, we dont need 4 reskins for everything.. I'd rather see new mounts and glams unfortunately I got a feeling they will reskin everything atleast once before they move on, but who knows

Recolor or not, it's still a completely new mount (that, like always, almost no one will get and no one will ever see). Nothing has been re-released.

I don't mind recolouring other stuff and re-releasing it as a feast exclusive mount. As long as the recolour stays exclusive to ranked feast.

But, it comes across as lazy, it also diminishes the exclusivity of the reward, robs us out of having a cool unique, new reward but more importantly we aren't given the saved dev time allocated elsewhere within pvp. Before you ask, no, I do not count gunbreaker and dancer hell weps as they are an expansion and 3 major patches late. They saved dev time and for what? So crafters got more content to fiddle with again for the 5th patch in a row? For more bloody umbrellas people can buy with gil? Give us something, a crumb of development.

All in all, I'd rather they not do it and give ranked pvpers cool new stuff but failing that, I'd like to see this become something good for pvp. It could result in more seasons. Instead of one season every .5 patches, it would be better to have two seasons in every .5 patches, of which include the recoloured stuff, assuming we don't run out of colours one day.

This would actually increase participation, energise the queues, potentially cut down on people with alts due to having less free time, give the pvp content creators more content to create and be more appetising to non-pvpers.

Community asked for a light armor glam for years as reward. Maybe start there.

I'm not for putting any heavensward rewards back into the game cycle. The playerbase back then actually knew their skills, it wasnt a participation reward like now, it was hard earned, pretty difficult to make it in the top100, especially with the old matchmaking system that put you in low gold with a 60-70% winrate. I am convinced that 80-90% of the current players wouldn't have made it in that environment.

Nowadays you can have the 3 top players in a team, with 1 newbie who just started his first season and doesnt know how to play versus 3 average PvP players with 1 player who also started his first season but is slightly better than the newbie in the other team; the result is the top team gonna get trashed. It is extremely easy to do well just by button smashing even, while people who know the mode and the skills have not the tools to carry that one bad player. The skill ceilling is extremly low, SE finally got their casual PvP grinding event - potions favor people who use them badly so much - it is almost like light medals.

You say it is green, while the more likely reason is, SE feels like the PvE community was mad that they put a mainstory mount in PvP content. (Similar how PvP community wonders why its theme is suddenly only Garlean stuff) This gives people who didnt realize PvP got a PvE mount another chance. They even changed a reward in the past because PvE commmunity was too loud about it, instead we got earrings.

So yeah, this reward makes you totally wonder, why an old reward? Why not a different version of the current mount we got? Why not a different version of the mount before the current mount? Nope they went back 2,5 years to season 7 to dig it out again.

The addon is over a year live now. Feast got potency changes and weapons for GNB and DNC, which really look cool, but yeah that's it. The skill additions and potions are perfect for Frontline, but are not really suitable for Feast.

My opinions

• Re: increase in Crafter content. I think that is fine. Crafters already feel like side content as is (and that probably will not chance unless they can do the MSQ and it takes into account that you woudn't be a combatant) so them having a little bit more is alright
• I'm also fine with limited time PVP mounts, but I also think there should be some for PVE as well. World firsts, Server firsts, Deep Dungeon solos, and even Firmament seasons (I said PVE, not specifically combat) could use something to commemorate the achievement besides titles.

There are a few issues with these seasonal mounts in PVP:

1) There are a number of top PVPers that use their alts to climb the PVP ladder. While this may not inherently be an issue, it becomes an issue when those alts take up space in the top 100 that get rewarded those mounts. If these mounts were awarded one mount per account, that would help out. From someone who's tried to climb for several seasons, it is discouraging going to the PVP scene, and people saying "this person has X number of alts in top 100"

2) Getting into PVP and maintaining the ladder is pretty hard to enter. Since the PVP community is so small, from my experience, you have to rank up as soon as the season starts. If you start at a later date, half way through the season or some other, the queue times are nearly impossible to obtain. Once the DC's PVPers have gotten past a certain rank as a collective, you'll sit in over 60min queues or longer and still find nothing. It makes it slightly harder to juggle other content and pvp. There would be seasons where I tried to start late into the season, as other things too priority, and I could never get a single queue. So how is one suppose to climb the ladder in that sort of situation?

3) Win trading has been an issue in the past. When I did try to climb the ladder, again I was greatly discouraged whenever I would queue and find myself paired up with win traders. You'd have someone afk at spawn and cause a 4v3 situation. When I was playing, this felt like it was never addressed or corrected. So I could be trying my best to improve my PVP game, climb the ladder and everything else, but all it took was several of games of win traders to tarnish that.

Having done ultimate raids, I understand keeping certain content to be limited and not available to all persons. Had the Lv70 ultimates become unsync and slightly easier for people to clear, I'd be pretty upset that a fight that I've worked so hard to prog for, was made easy and thus diminish the time and work I put in for my reward. However comparing this to PVP is nearly apples to oranges, as while the philosophy may be similar, the systems are pretty different. Hopefully the points above illustrate how one sided the system is when these seasonal mounts are rewarded. In the current way of PVP, to my understanding if you want to get anywhere when climbing the ladder, you have to hit the floor running when the season starts or else you'll get left behind and climbing the ladder will soon not be a possibility. This sort of thing doesn't really happen with PVE content.

Depends on the datacenter but also on season duration. If the season is really long it is more likely. Usually the lower ranks are more active as the most people are in there, plat/diamond starts to die at some point ye. It is not really fun to play against the same people over and over - because matchmaking will favor one side ultimately.
However, this problematic is inherent to PvP games in general, you can't expect to join the race that took months in the last week and hope you get enough games on every day and night. I wouldn't judge it too harsh. You can think about how to make it more attractive that people join the ranked games at a later point aswell, there have been made many suggestions which start at making something like a feast ranked roulette each day or week to changing up wolf collar rewards to make them more attractive to farm. You don't really feel rewarded if you don't make top100 atm, that is the problem why many people stop.

To 1) Yes that has been mentioned a lot of times too. Alts do indeed take up slots from legit players, some players have made it their sole purpose to take up as many slots as they can in a season. It has also been suggested to make it account wide, I feel they dont want to make it because it might generate additional server stress but idk. A different solution would be, that at all times only your highest rated character is shown on the leaderboards but your alts would still get the reward if they would have made it theoretically. This would make top100 atleast top100 legit players and not 'top100 legit+alts' players.

2) It is not thaaaaat bad, if you try to play at peak hours you usually get a few games at least a day, even later in the season. Depending on the role you queue it can be very long though, if you can play multiple jobs it really helps to keep the mode active.

3) They have been banned in the past. Just report if you think it happened. But pls dont report people in unranked/bronze who just dont know better, they will have no clue what happened, maybe not using the right hotbar or whatever else. Sometimes dc happen, sometimes gamepad disconnects, sometimes rl happens. Just look for consistency if x players always loses to y player in an obvious way, then you can assume it.

Due to the datacenter split and how unskilled some people are atm on the top100 leaderboard and even pass struggling veterans who played this mode since medieval, I would say this is the best time to spam matches and get your mount. It is now easier than ever, if you are capable of learning and reading your skills, you might even make top10, with enough time. The more games in a season are played the more people will hit platinum and diamond naturally, it will be easier to climb a few weeks in. But start now so you are atleast silver so you can play gold matches till the end of season if necessary.

Another re-release and don't give me the bs of it not being a re-release because it's a different colour :'D
