It's not a remark on the individual character's appearance, it's associating them with the idea (accurate or not) that characters with that appearance tend to be trolling.

The implied name-calling is "troll", not "bald Roe".

If we're talking GFX, lets get real reflections that are there when I do NOT look at the object directly.

Currently you see a rock reflecting off the water as long as it is in your sight. Turn the camera down, so you only see the water and the rock reflection is gone.

If there is a pattern of behavior from a group that share similar traits then people are going to generalize. The 'bald male roe' comes from a string of posts of similar content from characters with similar traits so generalization is going to happen. It's not meant as insult so long as you're aware that they don't mean that literally everyone in that group is like that.

Definitely with you there. Having gone from DOS to N64 and onwards from there, there are so many games that are far below the mark of this one, but looked impressive at the time - and sometimes still do.

Things don't have to be photorealistic all the time, and if you've found the one corner of the world where they've left the seams exposed, that's a pity but just ignore it and move on with enjoying the rest of the game.

if I called you a simp, like most male Hyurs are in game, I don't think you'd like that label applied to you. Furthermore, what does it matter to you? If want to talk about labels then let's take it outside the forums, there are plenty of labels I could share with you about Hyurs and whatnot.

Do you have proof of a group of male hyurs acting like simps to base this generalization off of or just your personal perspective on the matter? You're taking a joke hypothetical someone made due to recent post activity and turning into a personal attack.

Sounds like cpu-side culling. They could possibly make it so the objects have to be much farther out of the field of view before they're culled, but that could possibly lead to performance issues on lower-end computers. Maybe a fix that's optional, with a checkbox in the settings?

There's a simple way to avoid being associated to a group and that is to not perform actions that is commonly done by said group. If people are saying "why do X keep doing Y" and you fall into the X category and you don't want to be associated with the group people are refering to then don't turn around and do Y and perpetuate the gossip.

Yes, that's Occlusion Culling in the Graphics settings. Uncheck that box and whatever is behind your camera will remain rendered.

And if we're talking about recent post activity....you're the one who made a thread condemning and questioning the moderation/community staff of the forum. Your activity here is a whole lot more questionable than me asking for a texture patch that the game needs badly in some locations.

I'm not tasting anything, all I'm asking for is the basis of your generalization. And yes, it was a light-hearted joke. Just because you chose to take offense to it doesn't make it anything more or less.

People don't get suspended or banned due to bad textures, but they do for shady moderation which is what my thread was about, there's nothing 'questionable' about it.
