Will have to look into this. Is there a new chart showing if Crit ATK+ is worth stacking?

Nothing except what was posted a few posts ago; I'm just aiming for stat caps atm.
It'd be nice if we could figure out the correlation between stat caps and weapon dps. I forget exactly where, but I read the stat caps for BRD with Ifrit's bow were a bit lower than MNK, WAR, and DRG. This would be consistent with dps being the deciding factor for stat caps (since Ifrit's bow has lower weapon dps than the 3 aforementioned melee classes) rather than weapon damage.
I know everyone if of the mindset that weapon dps is the most important thing, but if you could triple/quad meld a slightly lower dps weapon, there might be a point at which more Atk (or something) from raw stats makes up for the lower Str/Pty cap.
At the very least, this would help us extrapolate stat caps for future weapons (Gae Bolg and beyond).
Well, based on my research, DPS would decide stat caps or Ifrit's Harpoon would out-damage GC Sergeant Spear. Base Damage = Auto-attack and jump damage, DPS = Weapon Skills.
Edit: So Ifrit Bow would have lower damaging weapon skills, but higher Light Shots and Barrages.
Yes, and having established that, what I'm talking about is finding specific numbers for STR and PIE caps in relation to weapon dps. We know at around 40-ish dps it's 350/310 for STR and PIE respectively. How about a 37 dps weapon, or a 43 dps weapon? If it's a linear (or exponential/logarithmic/etc.) progression, that will help us determine new stat caps in the future and stat caps for players stuck with a lower level weap like a Hart Guisarme.
Gotcha. If you wanted an exact relationship it would be a study involving more gil than I have so you could adjust STR and PIE 1~2 points at a time xD. Even if you went in 5pt increments, still a lot deeper than I want to get. Also, considering the GC sergeant weapon sanctions 45 attack power, so getting over that on a weapon like the hart is also another mound of gil I don't have ^^;. If someone else wants to take this up, I'm really interested to see the results.
Off-topic from determining stat caps:
For Hart vs Ifrit: .02 DPS would equal the same boost as 1 attack power (for weapon skills), so theoretically you would need 162.5 Attack power, plus the 15 attack power difference. So 178 Attack Power on your gear, assuming you are at whatever stat caps the hart has. Which would be 6 max IV materias on various parts of the gear. o.o;
Wow, sweet parser, can't wait to use it to test stat caps on relic weapons as well as hopefully finding the correlation between DPS and stat caps in general (time and gear permitting lol). I will still need 2 or 3 weeks to fully upgrade my relic weapon though (MNK btw) but with food I think I can reach stat caps based on what we already know from Ifrit weapons.
Good, I'm pretty anxious myself.
