I actually bought SWTOR to see how it is. It's really fun, I'm level 7 and still in the nooby zone. Combat is really fun. The animations aren't too bad and the graphics don't really bother me. I can't wait to get to the actual game so I can find groups and play with one of my friends.

I really like how they DON'T ENCOURAGE PL in this game. It's legit leveling up.

If there were anything at all that I disliked about FFXIV its these forums. There is so much negitivity here about the game, about things they have announced and people havent even tried yet. Heck people were bitching about CNJ only having one heal a month before it was even released. Then there was the BLK and WHT mage complainers. How about the guy crying about PL'ing even when Yoshi said it stays..
But hey im not leaving because of any of that. Plain and simple. I DONT LIKE THE GAME.

thank god you can use space bar to skip TOR "voice acting quests" Honestly I'd rather read the dialouge then listen to long drawn out conversations, which are horribley written btw. What a waste of money EA.

I'm not lying about anything.

When PLing became an issue with the claim changes in 1.19 (and Yoshi-P officially stated last August that he was cool with it), that's when I officially became disgusted.

My Lodestone history will only show you an entry every five levels I gain. Just because you haven't seen an entry, that doesn't mean I didn't gain any exp since then.

Besides, my history clearly shows that I hit level 20 on my Carpenter today and did the class quest.

You want people to recognize your stance yet u refuse to recognize anyone else's. By all appearances your an inactive player that puts forth no effort, as evidenced by your progress. So you really can't understand why people come at you? Especially when u say things about like melee combat being broken, cus that's what ur hubby tells you. I think he just doesn't want to play with you :P. Over the line? Dont care. Enjoy your other games. Have a good life

I never once insulted anyone for liking the new combat system. If they do, wonderful, I'm happy for them. They are entitled to their opinions. In fact, I think AdvancedWind and I came to a point in the debate where we had to agree to disagree. No hard feelings. Yet, those of us who have voiced our concerns have gotten no such respect in return from a handful of people who are relentless in their attempts to demean and discredit our opinions.

Did you actually read any of my posts, or just jump on the hate train? My husband and I both tried it out and are in agreement. I'm not going on hearsay. My opinion is my own. We just happen to share it.

Haven't played SWTOR, but I'd bet it will last even if it had had the same degree of trouble XIV did at launch and for the same reason. They won't abandon a title in the Star Wars franchise without a substantial fight. Whatever weaknesses SWTOR may have at this time I'd bet they polish them out as time goes by.

As far as the OP is concerned good luck. I can understand not playing once your friends are gone; after all what fun can a game based on grouping be if the people you want to group with are playing another game you enjoy more.
