In comparison to other jobs...I guess we can look at the fact you have
SCH: The main shield user.
AST: Noct AST.
WHM: Instant SS, low CD with cooldown reduction.
No reason for the other jobs to have their own shield plus SS, but this did help SCH have double/triple shields. :eek:
I wouldn't mind seeing a tiny buff such as Scale per Lily idea.

WHM does need a little bit more love. I would be happier with the original 18% "Granite Skin"
and keep the CDR of the Lilies but I guess they can bump up the recaste time if they want.

i know theres a cooldown reduction i edited my post from earlier to clarify that. it would be nice if the potency of DB was better with stacks but as it is now i still find it useful so i am also ok if it doesnt get that buff.
Though i do agree with what others said that the cool down for DB is short enough already that having the reduced cool down through lillies isnt that much of a change.
Because of that, i still find it alittle annoying that it takes all of my lillies because i may want to use the lillies on another spell but accidentally use it on DB. its still a benefit as i have recently found out but its not by that much

SCH and NoctAST have their own shields because that's their gimmick thematically. WHM and DiurnalAST are now and have always been about pure healing, which Yoshida even said they wanted to reinforce with SB.

I'm sorry, the PS was to clarify for everyone that it IS affected by the Lilies. I also did not know this, wasn't directed to you btw. ^^

Yes I know Daralii. I was just saying since SCH has shields upon shields (which is their job) + SS and then N.AST comes in, more shields + SS...
Remember SS was given to everyone. It was the beginnign of taking most of WHM skill to roles. We should of seen it coming LOL.
It took away what WHM had on it's own. I also didn't know about SS nerf. :/
To be honest, WHM just got everything taken away from them lol.

Yes stoneskin was fine when there was no alternative. If we had stonskin AND DB, my guess is DB would be used majority of the time.

What i WOULD like to see, is stoneskin II added back into the game, possibly on a cooldown and castable in raids (Obviously a higher mana cost to make up for it being used in combat)

With easy and quick it is now to generate lilies, Divine Bension has the constant use in it. It's not meant to be a strong shield, its meant to help mitigate damage. With constant mobs heals, you can keep using Divine Bension to alleviate a bit of the healing. Quicker than ever casting a single stoneskin. That's losing time that you could've cast to heal the tank. Just something to think about.

No worries :) it is a good thing to clarify too since I have mentioned that in a few posts and no one has corrected me until this thread, I gotta imagine not everyone knows lillies do affect the cool down of DB. At the same time I learned that I also learned it affected Tetragrammaton.

If they made the stacks do increased shielding potency instead of lowering the cooldown I think I would prefer that switch but now that I think about it, everything that takes lillies just lowers the cool down. The only thing that increases potency is with confessions. I wonder if having other benefits tied to lillies is possible without needing changes to how lillies work in the coding
