not to mention, the Hyur with cats ears look more cute and cudly than the ones with no ears lol, and have more superior emotes!

the start of the game would be difficult to explain, unless they became more common in Eorzea, but later on in the game the discrimination you would face wouldnt really excist due to the deeds you have done and how we are recognisable as one of the scions.

Since SQEX is a Japanese company and not a NA company i highly doubt they would introduce this as a playable race.

Japanese perception of "beast" races compare to NA is so different you could just look at their animes, novels, mangas and etc to know. Besides, they have to cater to their own people/culture first..(see miqote)

Even if they do introduce this as playable race it will still come in a human anatomy form(boobs with hour glass body) instead.
Since viera is still a popular race in the JP side.. viera will come first i guess ;)

Final fantasy has had beast races as playable charecters in the past so I don't see how this would be different, the bumicians the moogles meny of the races in ivalice and even a wolf person as a temporary party member the ronso and if your willing to streach it to the spin off series mirages, more moogles chocobos (again with a stretch)

Plus they never said we couldn't get TWO races :p

Beastmen races will never be playable in Final Fantasy XIV. The whole story is based on the contrast between humanoid races and beastmen tribes, and it's obvious to which kind the warrior of light belongs.

But we have seen during the Beast Tribe Quests that factions are trying to break free from the Gods.
And most people should know by now that the Vath tribe is actually trying to become adventurers just like you and I.
So I don't see why other tribes couldn't join the Adventurer life, and possibly become playable characters.

Probably won't be a playable race, you can't make a "waifu" out of a beast race :/

I'd be okay with the race as long as they aren't customized like this

Looks pretty cool but I still prefer Viera. Still I wouldn't mind them putting them up
