That's pretty much the reality of any situation where one group has something another doesn't. Not to mention, that's exactly the case when you deal with international conventions. SE main, for example, will always prioritize Japanese players over international ones. It's home turf. Blizzard will always prioritize the US, because that's home turf. Unless your job is specifically to cater to international audiences over your own local one (which is rarely a thing), there's going to always be some degree of bias. Realistically speaking, that degree of favoritism is acceptable. I'd say most people would choose getting something nice for their own family over getting something nice for some random persons family, if they could only choose one over the other. Most folks would take pride in their own country over pride of another.
As I've stated before though, ask away on wanting something, as that's fine (as long as it's not done in a stupid manner), but know that not everything is going to be equal. You're not going to always get something another has, likewise, they're not going to always get something you have.
