I liked doom train in ff8 learning about him via news clippings was neat.

Speaking of the boat, does anyone else have a texture issue with the water on the right side when you're on it?

I agree that a train would be cool. But it doesn't fit in our continent. I would rather see it in Garlean myself.

Now Boats!! Ours really is a bore. I want to see dolphins and sharks and whales occasionally. It would add to the ocean enviroment. Maybe even add pirate attacks or something similar (Sahagin attacks!) every once in a while. Xi's boat was more dangerous than ours. Could always add in a Sea Horror cameo!! Just make him the scariest most evil blood thirsty 8 tentacled Kraken you can imagine. Instill fear into the hearts of us adventurers!!

i wouldn't mibd that during storms the water and boat get more rocky. And wave crashes on the decks sometimes

What you have to remember is that hardly anyone ever actually uses the boat, and in fact, many of the times I've used it, I have been the only one who has actually remained there in both body and mind. Everyone else just goes AFK.

Maybe if we had some use for boats other than as a means of travel between Limsa and Thanalan, the developers could rationalise spending more time on the feature. As it stands, it's just so easy for players to spend the 3 anima it costs to travel between nations that is negates the use of the boat-ride, so there isn't much incentive for the development team to spend time improving what already suffices.

If SE do intend to go ahead with their Company Ships idea, then perhaps they should think about improving both the boatride and the company owned ships at the same time. But until then, I don't think SE could consider the boatride much of a priority. ArcheAge has a system where you can build your own ship and engage in naval warfare, and also use boats to travel between continents and islands.

wont fit in Eorzea but if the empire had a train we could use it and sometime there a event that a doom train come but if a player does not want to do it they can stay in spot and they don't have to fight.
