A simple mistake. Were the soup laced with aphrodisiac, I imagine the other would happen, as well. :P

The 2014 Valentione's quest had you help Yellow Moon make "cookies" for all her admirers, but she has the cooking ability of Akane from Ranma 1/2 and gave everyone severe poisoning instead.

2013's had us give love letters from female NPCs to male NPCs. all of the male NPCs rejected them. ^^;

I remember that. I felt pretty crappy afterwards.

I don't want to help other people with their love I want the warrior of light to find love him/herself. That's what the valentines day event should be for.

I wouldn't mind being shipped with Y'shlota or her sister.

^ Pretty much this. I think our WoL's deserve a little more than just being everyone's (story wise) glorified errand boy/girl, even if it's just for one event :(

We already got this with the ceremony of eternal bonding.

You can't have both, how would it make sense for me, someone who is in-game married to my IRL partner, to go on a romance mission?

The most you could hope for is a Skyrim-esque marriage, where you can marry some NPC and have a wedding with them if you have no player to marry, then they can move in your house. But that would just be a waste of developer time imo.
