I find the dungeon to be really easy. The tornadoes were annoying at the start but you can pull trash in a way you wont even have to dodge them. The bosses are really simple and straight forward.

So, been chain running expert roulette for 180 gear, and I can officially say: Neverreap sucks. It sucks HARD. It just goes out of its way to be a needle in my shoe. The trash has too much health and AOEs with absurdly short cooldowns, and the totem boss is the worst thing since your girl gets a positive on a pregnancy test. If the Arum Vale is a nasty toilet, then Nevereap is where the sewage gets flushed.
I dont mind it. Goes really fast with the right pulls. Only if you get good dps though. =(
i dont like it at all
i just hit ilv 145, with another BLM dps and, ilv145 healer
trash mob is annoying, AOE every second, basically hit 1 skill, run away, run back, hit another skill
becoz i just hit ilv 145, trash mob is taking much longer to kill like when 2.0 first came out
1st boss is fine, not too hard to find the shadow
2nd boss is a bit annoying since i have to keep breaking off to move totem
3rd boss the worst dungeon boss ever, not hard to fight, just have to keep breaking-off very very often
and the tornados feel very strange, i was not in it, none of my body part touching it, i got throw up
it spawn next to the boss, coming to my way, i step a side, the tornados can suddenly change it's path
and since we are kind of undergear except the tank and the BLM who constantly have to avoid tornados
the boss take quite long to kill
although we never wipe at any boss fight, it take much longer to kill even i know my rotation, and i still fail to see the pattern of the tornados
the trash taking long is a gear only issue. that goes away as you get new gear. believe me. can do sub 20 min runs easy with 4 geared players now on both dungeons. but have to agree on trash beeing way more annoying than fractal. trash that SPAMS aoe effects is never fun. second boss spams his ability a bit to often.
last boss is ok per se. the problem with him is not that he is hard but that he takes forever to kill because of that completely unneeded evade buff and the tornados as you said. a hard to beat boss is one thing. a unnessacry streched out boss fight is just annoying. which is actually the main reason fractal > reap.
Obviously you never had a fast Fractal Run...
Fastest DF run: 17:47
Never looked how fast Failreap goes, im just glad when its over (main BLM, last boss can suck my wizard hat)
That's because there are no patterns - they are homing tornados, they randomly lock on a party member, if he/she moves out of the line they randomly pick someone (can be the same person) and go straight to them. Sometimes they switch targets even on the way and start hunting you. Those are the only and real reason why the last boss is the worst as BLM
I use to HATE Neverreap....once you are properly geared for it...it is a joke. It is a tough Dungeon when everyone in the group is iLv148 and just trying to collect their first pieces of gear. So just wait and go in once you have a full party of iLv190 and above and then tell me what you think of it...cake walk and easy as pie.
As Astrologian I love Neverreap. It's so much easier on my MP compared to fractal. Plus I find the bosses in Neverreap very easy.
To be honest, the only thing I really dislike about Neverreap is the lack of tanking I have to do as a tank. There is so much AOE to run out of, both on the trash pulls and the boss fights, I feel a little like a headless chicken doing some ridiculous dance and occasionally hitting something. I find the Fractal bosses much more interesting - needing to plan cooldowns (well, not needing, but wanting to) for Phantom, doing a bit of a dance and positioning Minotaur and positioning, planning cooldowns and generally having a laugh on the last boss. The trash is less annoying in Fractal too.
