No they demand people to be on PC because its more stable during fights with many things happening on the screen, no input lag and easier to communicate via typing if need be, have you ever tried to direct people with text on console? No, cause it doesn't happen. Thats what Ive seen anyway, people who don't communicate in pugs or in some hunts are generally ones on console, and lets not forget how easy it is to use a keyboard for MMO's...or most of them anyway.

Lolll no wow failed at character model customization for it's whole lifespan and to this day still dose. ff act dose it better then most

SE is holding the game back. Server limitations are more of an issue than PS3 limitations ever will be.

There are many PC players who use gamepads as well. I swear gamepads are ergonomically superior than a typical keyboard. Its actually the PS3 stability I was talking about, Ive just seen people having many issues with this, especially during fate grind in NT.

Consoles do not hold back PC and PC do not hold back Consoles, this is all on dev's part they can create two different clients that still accessed same server. One for Consoles and one for PC but they do not do this so really Devs are holding back the game. Not the platforms

Ah, gotcha. You are right, the PS3 is really quite a clunker in relation to FFXIV. I can't imagine trying to get anything serious done with it.

Depends on the PC in question, really. There's a reason that not very many people played XIV 1.0, it would school even the best computers back then. It's a large reason why they toned everything down in 2.0. Not everyone is running cutting edge systems so to say that just the PS3 is 'holding the game back' is being pretty shallow.

I'm not arguing that developers gravitate towards consoles.
I'm just saying it's a base fact that consoles are straight up more limited than PC's. And that limitation restricts what can be done with this game, and every other game to come out on a console.

That's not necessarily a red mark against it. Very many of the best games ever made where limited by their comparative hardware at the time.
