So do you think Square Enix USA sent notice of the Ifrit video to ign/mmorpg.com/any North American gaming site/source?
even if they did doubt they would post about it because they want it to fail. I don't agree with it but I think some other American MMO company's have them deep in their pocket that they will overlook anything good to come...
MMORPG.com has two updates...
http://www.mmorpg.com/gamelist.cfm/g...tober-4th.html
"The Final Fantasy XIV Lodestone has been updated with an outline of the notes for the highly anticipated v1.19 patch. The patch is set to deploy on October 4th and brings several significant features to FFXIV.
According to a new Producer's Letter, the patch has been delayed slightly to accommodate more stability and to give the dev team more time for debugging.
To give players a bit of a heads up about the patch, the team has laid out the major changes coming in the v1.19 patch and indicated that both Ixal stronghold (Natalan) and Guildleve history evaluations will be delayed to the v1.19a update."
Instead of adding the Ifrit video they chose to post a picture of a chocobo, and a picture of the minimap showing the chocobo stable.
and their latest op-ed/ "full blown re-review".

Some things I liked:
"Spending time within FFXIV makes you feel like you have gone back in time to play a very needlessly complex EverQuest clone, albeit without the charm."
"It is still mindlessly complicated"
(I'll let you think about that one for a second....)
and of course the wonderful conclusion:
"I wouldn’t be surprising before this one was finally pronounced “dead on arrival”. It is a shame, this was one my most anticipated MMO releases of last year, but perhaps my expectations got the best of me, or the world just isn’t ready for Final Fantasy 14. Role on patch 1.19 and hopefully some serious changes. I suspect with that a brand new team on the title, we’ll be seeing FFXIV come a bit closer to what we all want it to be in time."
Brilliant.... absolutely brilliant article.
At this point I'm willing to say conspiracy, no one can be this bad at their jobs.
i, personally, like seeing what those sites have to say about games. i wanted the game and got it regardless of what was said. i play the game and compare my opinions to them and, quite frankly, they are closely related in alot of aspects.
MMORPG.com were prolly annoyed about the comments to thier reviewthey released 3 days before 1.18, and the comments that they only review the bad things and never mention the game etc ect, so they thought they would have to post this.
I know you don't play or know what you are talking about either!!
You should apply for a job there.
In case anyone wants to see their editor defending what a poor job they do on their site before they delete it, they actually responded to me:

I could see you getting banned from the website for that, they ban everyone that disagrees with the mods, last ban I had was a 1 month one because I said somthing about thier review that disagreed with the review and I was insta-banned. Hmm wonder if my account is back yet i might get in that post.
Edit: What!!! my sig was removed for posting personnal info, people only see thier own info, its how my sig gets the info, when I see it I see my IP, ISP and browser, no one elses /sigh dont the mods know how that info is gathered, i demand a mod reply!!!
Sorry it was off topic but I was here and I wanted to vent about it but whooo my mmorpg.com account is back, I can rage again YAY!!!
Well we all know those people of those sites are dumb people anyway.
Thats why they get payed to bs on games all the time that they don't like.
How about we start a website and do the same to those websites.
Then call us Game pro's too lol.
Close this lame thread already.
