It's apexis crystals and it's a currency used to buy worse gear than you can get from easier sources. In other words, useless. The fastest way to get them is do repeatable quests which involve killing one hundred mobs. That's it, no story and progression, just grinding. But it gets better. Their latest big patch includes more garrison minions (which get you free gear with a click of a button), more of these lovely apexis quests, an attempt to fix the pvp island, a new difficulty level for existing dungeons and a way to be synched in old expansions' dungeons. The last completely new feature the game got was selfie camera and twitter integration... Non-raiders are bored and it's justified.

By the twelve, just reading what I wrote makes me cringe at the state of that game... please let me stay! :'D

Do you mean the 8 year olds who currently play WoW? I'm pretty sure the vast majority of us are former WoW players in some way. Personally, I played WoW from 2005 to 2009, and I consider myself a pretty damn good healer and player in general in FFXIV.

go walk into a wow server...its a world of difference, we dont have the worst of it and its more of a NA mmo player issue overall than just wow

Trying to lay blame on a certain type of crowd is wrong. I myself came from WoW and FFXI. All mmos have their good and their bad, it's the nature of the beast. All you can do is smile and wave, just smile and wave. Alright, well later guys.

I think turning subs away is a terrible idea. If they're pricks the community will deal with them. In the meantime the good apples can have a taste of an mmo that believes that you need updates every three months to be relevant. I'm sure after a year of no patching between panda land and wod they'd appreciate it. XIV has somwthing going for that. If they wanna start drinking XIV brand wine as opposed to WoW's prison toilet wine I say we welcome them.
