Sorry it's french section, see at the bottom of the 1st post if you want to see screenshots of combat tab (It could be hard to see, because I think that SE can read the logs directly I just posted two raw screenshot)


Go test by yourself, it's very easy

1/ form a duo with some pld/war friend of yours
2/ arrange equipment so you've about same amount of defense stat
3/ go in some trial of your choice (I used Titan HM), using the option that allows to go undernumbered in it
4/ put no stance, do not unsheat your weapon, just go in front of titan and eat all of his attack

Just look your combat tab, you'll see how much harder DRK is hit, around 20% more than war or pld using same king of gear, same def.

Don't even need a parser ;)

Yep, that's why I hope SE will take this seriously and made some intern testing, then provide a bug fix to that class I love playing =)

Try doing it with the DRK and PLD at the same level. I remember reading somewhere that the disparity in damage reduction might have to do with the way damage and defenses are calculated, essentially causing your defensive stats to depreciate as you level up.

Yeah I read it too, saying that damage calculation for 51-60 was different than 1-50 and that would be the cause of what I saw, and it was bullshit, I asked a friend to come with me (since the pld I used in my report was 50 vs drk 54), she was 51, she ate the dmg from titan with no difference as she were 50, she had same def stat too).

Still I encourage you to test it, and to report it to SE if you see same as I saw... around 20% more dmg to DRK than to PLD or WAR, raw.

We took off the shield, we had no stance, we used no CD, no more variable than defense raw stat and some levels (and that special method of calculating dmg for new 51+ levels has been prove to be false, since there's no significant difference between "old fashioned level 50" pld damage taking, and "new with all new ways of calculating 51" pld ones.)

Tanking stances does work, tho, but initial damages are still around 20% higher for DRK.

Thanks for doing that testing and submitting that bug report.
Hopefully it gets looked into quickly and if a bug is fixed asap.

Yeah, hopefully that gets fixed ASAP. Because if it holds to be true, then DRK would be completely unviable as a tank.

Possibly. But that's a Warrior, They have a lot easier time doing it than Drk.

Drk could do it I definately know if they find someone else to split the damage with, or are able to time when the cleaves are coming and turn it into the group instead of eating it alone.
