I know, they're all so awesome! Here I'm like, "This is the best picture I have done for this contest yet!" and then I see the others and go "aaaaaand so is everyone else's too."

Katarh, you've shown great improvement with this shot! I thought you did amazing!

This exactly! Definitely my favourite shot from you so far!!

Thank you! I think everyone put forth their absolute best this round, and it showed. I think some of my issues in the earlier rounds was that I was focusing too much on the outfit (I am the XIV fashion blogger after all, haha), and not on the rest of the scene around me. I'm glad I was able to step it up this round - and so excited that everyone else did too! Wow!

I had actually been waiting for that exact moment! Alas, the moon decided to set right behind me, and the large "milky way" galaxy band that would normally hug right up against the Marinum had passed. :(

I took so many shots with battle effects going on that quite a few of them came out.... amusing.

Oh man, I knew that asymmetry would come back to bite me in the butt! XD

At this point in the shoot I was so exhausted from trying to recruit extras, compose their uniforms, breaking form every minute or so to fight the Garleans that spawn, wrangle that dang /cpose to end up at the right spot, /smirk, and direct four extras to salute at the same time that I was just happy to get the shot! Because I attempted the shoot(after like 5 hours of putting together their outfit to my liking) at what must be the deadest hours on the server I sadly spent what must have been 500,000gil bribing people to switch GCs/adjust hair to hide the lack of a third eye/spend 1000 seals/pose for an hour. I admit I originally wanted it to be perfectly centered to really emphasize the 'power' of my character, but I noticed with the way he adjusts for the /cpose it actually puts him off-center from the camera. I think that's why he ended up with his helmet aligned but otherwise off.

As I'm reading back over this it sounds so whiny, but I actually had a really fun time putting the whole thing together! I promise! I'm loving how this stretches my abilities. >///w///<

...okay, so had to share my favorite outtake from this round. Was trying to shoot while people were apparently on a Garlean hunt, tried to snap a picture while everyone was off screen and... well, this happened:
