But at the same time it's right to give credit to SE for doing something good, which was the purpose of this thread (I think). If the positive feedback gets to SE, it's done more good than harm even if it pisses off a few of the most vocal homophobes.

All these "I'm here, I'm queer, so get used to it" threads are starting to make me cringe.
We don't need a thread poking potential homophobic people every weeks.

As for the "female homosexuality more accepted", it's mainly that just because two women are portrayed as intimately involved with each other, it doesn't necessarily have to do with homosexuality: just look at the number of pornographic clips featuring two women -- directed at a male viewer. It's a common male fantasy, and therefore more acceptable from a heterosexual (male) perspective.
The issues come when people realize that those two ladies are also romantically involved with each other and not about to give up their dallying and find proper husbands... *rolls eyes*

Oh, I know. Ikuhara's latest series is about exactly that, and it's been an emotional roller coaster so far. As I clarified before, I meant in media, which is still dominated pretty heavily by straight men.
