SMN redesign in expansion?

Except I can pretty much guarantee those are gameplay balancing issues and not "flavor rebalancing". Also yes, when a good portion of your dps is from your pet and you dismiss the usefulness of your best one based on age-old balancing, your opinion loses credibility. It shows you haven't kept up with what SMN is actually supposed to do and what works best in a long time.

And if you had been right saying it's bad that I dismiss your validity based on the pet you use you could say the same thing about a SMN saying they use Titan all the time. ...which would be ridiculous, just in case you want to defend that idea too.

Looking at the last Summoner Quest most and 2.4 it gives an idea what new spells the job will receive.
-gravity force
-The ability to tether the Egi and convert its hp into mp.
-The ability to fuse with the Egi and transform into the primal

That last one would be pretty cool, easily balanceable, and might even satisfy the "it's not smn enough" crowd. I like it.

It's funny how you are so quick to dismiss someone else "validity" based on one small detail you disagreed with, but yet you have not even looked at your own posts objectively...

How do you guarantee anything when you do not work for SE? Just because I hoped for "something good," does not mean I was thinking that they'd incorporate the ideas everyone was talking about in this thread. At this point I will take anything that would potentially help summoner, whether it is just a numbers re-balancing, flavor skills with slight adjustments, or whatever. And it's clear you misunderstood my post, yet again. I will try to make it more clear for you to prevent the back and forth as I do not have to really prove much of anything to you.

I basically agreed with 99% of that person's quote. Simple as that. You chose to take the one thing you disagreed on, spin it, and tried to invalidate everything in the post based on that, which clearly means you just want to argue without any real constructive input, but rather shoot down everyone else's ideas/suggestions. That is how I view you in this thread at least.

Then when you see the post I quoted from an interview with Yoshi, you want to again be negative with guaranteeing things you cannot be 100% sure of in the first place. That's negativity at it's finest to me. That is a person that loses all credibility in my eye.

I do like this idea...

I think SMN will be a buff with 2.5b. Something minor like MP cost.

Egis are too frail for that. With how bad MP is at this point, I would even consider taking something like this.

You'd be crying too if SE constantly screws up your class and does nothing to fix it.

So did dragoons ans blackmages when they were inferior to other dps classes in the current endgame raids. AnD didn't warriors cry too, at the release, because they couldn't play the same way as paladins(use all them cool downs to reduce dmg). Maybe when dark knigt comes it'll be so over powered at the start that paladins become obsolete too and everyone runs with 2x dark knight and every paladin/warrior that doesn't want to level up a new class will be crying at the forum until that balance issue has been addressed. (Assuming you are main paladin because of the info on your forum profile, thus giving you a example based on tanks)

All the summoners I know changed to monk (me included) one good thing I managed to find in smn being nearly obsolete = I don't have to spend my GC seals to swap from int to mnd 50x a week : D

Summomer is obsolete because it's a DoT DPS with the lowest damage. The problem is all content is designed around having direct damage and bursts which Summoner lack they don't even have procs. The problems started with Summoner when thunder got take away and the decline continued from there.
