So, it'll be the same with the weapon in Heavensward, if they create a new relicquest. People will be like "OH TOO MUCH RNG, TOO MUCH GRIND, TOO MUCH <insert reason>". They're supposed to be a timesink, something to keep you busy. There's no design that could please the 100% of the playerbase. I hardly hear complaints about this quest in the server, mostly in the forums...
Personally I hope they end the relic story as we move into Heavensward.
The relics played a big role in A Realm Reborn, but Heavensward should be the start of something new( hopefully something other than weapons.)
Well if you check that "2.5 Before the fall" topic we are getting first parts of mainscenario quests that leads for expansion and Zodiac questline will also continue, so it seems it might carry over to expansion aswell. Could think this step same as ilvl80 relic was back in 2.0 the non-zenith one and 2.51 is the zenith part.
The old relic/zodiac quest chain must end, but in future they can give something a little extra to zodiac weapons owners, such as augmentation items for further glamor purposes.
