What is coming in 2.38?

People keep referencing hug being confirmed for 2.38 but I don't remember seeing that anywhere. I'm not arguing, but can anyone please point out roughly where it was said? I want to see if there was anything else I missed or forgot at the same time.

A dev posted about it in the Japanese forum. Someone then translated it and posted it in the English forums. I'm too lazy to find it, but maybe someone else will.

This is my biggest fear I guess. They've constantly made excuses about how they cant do this, or cant do that because of limited resources in the game engine or whatever, (the dev post saying they couldnt easily alphabetize a list still just boggles my mind), and based on that, how the hell are they going to manage tens, if not hundreds of thousands of custom player houses each loaded up with items?

They are probably going to make it so you can't trade a large amount of gil with someone not on your friendlist. Then make announce the super high price of housing.

SE doesn't want there to be a big gold buying rush before tonight.

Heh, likely already far far too late for that, esp with how cheap the going rate is for Gil apparently. Seen tons of people talking about it in game and debating the risk.

Gil sellers have likely already made their money just from people who want to be "sure" of getting a plot and house.

Totally bought up a bunch of extra soil just in case they DO add personal housing with gardening. I suspect the demand will skyrocket.

Why? I'm pretty sure it will not be like that as that would make no sense whatsover. What would you do for characters on different servers? And even if you have alts on the same server you still need to level them up to 50 and have high GC rank as well - that takes a couple days at least for each alt. SE will not limit / cripple the alts like this.

Actually, it makes perfect sense. This is how it is on Lord of the Rings Online. The house is shared across all of your alts. Makes housing last a lot longer because people don't buy up all the land for all their alts.
