I'm not surprised by the "forced stop" mechanic. This game does not reward skill and upgrading your gear. Just because players can handle bigger pulls, doesn't mean we are allowed to do so. For whatever reason. And the biggest example of this is every raid mob.
Most raid mobs have HP-based mechanics. If you "push a phase" it can simply wreak havoc. If you can up your damage, you should be rewarded, not penalized.
