crystal tool and server : some news ?

Wow, wars never existed? And when was the jumper cable invented in your timeline?

The gist of the post is, just because its 2011 doesn't mean the creation of gaming content is as simple as a easy bake oven. If anything, its gotten more difficult with the desire to compare it to every other game. They cannot just poof chocobos into existence, it needs animations, mount system, raising system, rental prices, combat inclusion, and decor/items. All that before some forumgoer's bullet point in a wall of text saying "I want chocobos!!1one" is fufilled.

I'm getting to the point of not caring if they share their progress of the severs or crystal tools. I mean does it really matter? We know they're working on it, also considering they're already working on the map changes* means they're most likely making progress and we'll see that progress hopefully by the end of this year.

I'd be satisfied with a reply in the kind of "We are still working on making the modifications required to have a client-sided interface as well as a decent guild interface and LFG tool, please wait a bit more."

I want to be sure they don't forget one of the most important problem of the current game.

Bumping this as well. For other people I talked to, as well as myself, this is a huge concern.

We really need a "Rukkirii-button" and "Bayohne-button" ! :p

hehe that just got me thinking. Maybe it's long to add in chocobos because they want to use motion capture... like they are trying to dress up an austrich in a blue suit with captors .. lol. Would be funny.

What Jennestia is talking about is the raging over "this is 2011 so games should have this and that, how hard is it" and what is said about wars, cars, hovercars are things futurologists said we would have by now, but were still stuck with problems that plague us from the 40s, because we cant fix them as much as we have tried, Jennestia's post is a logical metaphorical post saying just because we are in 2011 doesnt mean everything is easier to implement and there are other problems that can be out of SE's hands.

It seems as though since these forums came up everyone has become a programming expert, almost all suggestions "say x is easy to implement oh and so is y feature" when they are not and take time.

Again Jennestia's post is a metaphorical argument based on what futurologists have said we should have by now, yes what other people exist, but Dx9 was not designed to alow alt-tab from full screen so work arounds need to used, which is why they are looking at it rather than an instant fix, the best solution would be to implement Dx10/11 but then the XP players would be locked out of the game, a Dx10/11 mode would require a complete redesign of crystal tools, Jennestia's post is alot more logical than yours.

No answer. I think it's still a big problem for them "adjust" the servers an cristal tool. Worried about not having an answer on this ...
