No Rewards for "Bonus SP"? Anyone feeling ripped off?

Wasn't a few here complining about raise at 14? NOW that is stupid. Hypocrits

I remember quite clearly that rewards were kind-of promised (not directly but alluded to), when the game was launched and everyone was complaining about the fatigue system. I mean they pretty well called it bonus SP and exp or some variant at one point.

Komoto around the end of closed beta suggested that they would consider creating some use for surplus points but didnt want to announce what it is because it would defeat the purpose of them. At the start they were called surplus, and at some point changed to bonus. This seemed to suggest that they would be useful for something. Many players on different boards at the time believed they would be eventually used for purchasing special gear or as free sp/exp at level cap raise. I believe it had been mentioned in an interview as well but i'm not sure.

Or am i misinterpreting this? Or have they mentioned rewards somewhere?

Dont feel ripped off, just be glad its gone. Just like the raise changes and new spells introduced, its a drastic yet welcome change.

I agree, I felt ripped. I'd like them to make a note of everyone's accumulated points and give them back to us on a class of our choosing. A lot of us have strived to get points through this surplus system and we are going to get the shaft while future players get a free ride? lol. Not to be mean to future players or devs but we deserve these points back, if not in 1.18 then eventually.

No no no they should have given our lost EXP/SP back when cap increases. Oh wait.

I'll tell you what. I'll concede that you're due your surplus points if you can tell me EXACTLY how many you had.

I could care less. This was said under the old development team so I feel like we shouldn't hold the new team accountable for it.

I'm glad it's going away.

Glad there getting rid of Fatigue it was a dumb idea to try to slow down your progression on the one class you really want to play and get you to play other classes that you dont want to play.

As for Surplus. never knew what this was, never come across it, as far as im concenered it didnt exist in the game, it was just a word some players would throw around. As far as im concenered it didnt exisit in the game ever and if they get rid of it i wont notice anything different because it never affected me and i dont think anyone really knew what it was, it was jsut a cool word people would use to try and confuse you lol. If it did exist in the game is was extremely extremley vague and non-existant visually. Can find no reference to it in-game at all.

i know the devs look at some of these posts so heres one more for them to feel good for making a great improvement.

Thanks for removing it, now go back and reward the test rats who had to live though it, hell you might actually win some customers back.
