Well that's what people do when they think differently... I hope you do well on your Journey Happy trails
This doesn't sound good~ >___> I'll wait to hear more before jumping the gun though but @$%! me.... Waiting almost an hour or so for a party to finish, with up to god only knows how many 8 man parties waiting outside... It's gonna be like a behest at Camp Horizon it sounds like... Everyone fighting to get in before it's full... I hope I'm wrong though LOL
so what do you propose with a daily server population of 3000+ people?
your objective as a business person is to get people to play your game. if they do well with these patches then the population would only logically rise. so what do you do with large amounts of people wanting to play in instances at all times?
I've played games with seemling infinite instances, when I've known there to be at least 20-30 pt's in the exact same instances as me. Ya know better developed free to play games.
But its no surprise. SE just dont know how to do things properly so why is this such a shock.
I dont mind to much, i like the chit chat while queuing up and people bragging and saying how things are done and others saying they are wrong, its all funsies.
But anywho people are going to rage when they dont get in for like 4-5 hours. Then get 1shotted and have to wait another 4-5 hrs or spam like a mofo n hope lol.
Well, Yoshida specifically said that he didn't want people to have to wait in line to do dungeons, so there's hope.
Ridiculous. The cost is massive to run instances. it's almost like running VM's there's always a limit. Unless it's a smaller then crap instance, the server load would be expectedly tough where double digits is already draining the system.
There are way to temporary increase instance loads, but none to sustain high loads. The cost is just completely unjustified.
20-30 instance going on at the exact same time would be every instance at that time, not per dungeon. And completely pointless. You rarely have that high of a number in an instance dungeon at once per server. The chances are insane.
Well, even if it turns out Abyssea-esque, at least you new folk who never played FF11 will get a chance to experience that sort of content first hand.
I do enjoy seeing other people in the field as it doesn't make the game feel separated. As long as the competition isn't horrible it might actually be pretty fun, but those videos make it look like just a start to finish dungeon (also, cut-scenes). So, i'm starting to bet that it won't be anything like abyssea.
Market wards are instanced like 15 times =O idk how many categories there are, Anywho, it is possible if games already do it!
I think when Yoshi said he didnt want a queue he probably ment like how when XIV servers get full and you get put into that login queue, that type of queue. But waiting around until there is a free spot is most likely gunna be the situation.
/Shrug
I was under the assumption that there would be a set amount of instances available (20 maybe?). Each party would fill in one of those instances, once those fill up, its a free for all for whoever is up next. Is this not the case?
From everything I've read, it seems to point to this type of setup.
