Thought I would let you know what we have decided to implement for 2.3, since we have had an overwhelming positive response to the fate grind for the zodiac weapon, we will be implementing xp debt, that's right when you die you will loose experience points! (dleveling as an added bonus). For content we will be adding a paper farm, to defeat the one and only Red Mage Maat, thats right! a blast from the past.

We will also be adding from FFXI the CoP expansion as an early expansion release, at no cost to you! This will be an exciting adventure coming, I promise.

Players can now accept a new quest at the Goldsmithing headquarters.

Skill Preview:
Bondo: Heal Automaton by 3% every second for 8s.
All or Nothing: When casting Ego Boost or Temper Tantrum player joins in the fray. Low chance to upset automaton causing the Ticked Off Status: Automaton will not follow orders for 16 seconds
Temper Tantrum: Automaton throws a fit: damage equal to a portion of the party’s MP.
#@%! – Automaton shrieks insults on the battlefield stunning target for 3s.
Dice – Automaton throws dice at target(s).
Roll: 666 Devil’s Due: Automaton rampages the battlefield. 8% HP attack to target(s). 3% of damage reflected to party by low chance.
Ego Boost: Automaton sacrifices self: Casts shield on party. All physical attacks blocked for 4 seconds. Automaton cannot be recalled for 30 seconds. 65% chance to fail. When move fails, Automaton goes berserk and shouts insults at its owner.

Letter from the Producer, LVI (01/04/2014)

Hello again, to all of you FFXIVers out there and happy April Fool's.

We have interesting news for you, today at 15:00GMT (server reset) we will apply a hotfix and adding a 'special character' to the realm of Eorzea, no it's not the Easter Bunny, here's a hint, he has glasses and his name ends in -P.

See if you can find him to stand a chance at receiving a unique vanity item - the developer's club earrings - here is the inventory icon.

next week we will be performing a weekly wipe of all character and personal information began charging 80 dollars a month per player character, also all current credit cards will be blocked so everyone please open a new bank account just for final fantasy any other purchases for said bank account will result in trained assassins dispatched to collect your bloody hurt butt holes

In order to combat RMT activities, the special task force has decided to once again balance the economy. At 5:00 GMT today there will be a 18 hour maintenance. Once the worlds come back online, all characters will notice that that their gil has been reduced to %5 of it's original total.

We have also removed all gil drops from enemies, leves, logs, and most instanced content. The only method for earning gil will now be guildhests.

We believe this will be a crippling blow to most RMT companies, and that they may choose to abandon our game for greener pastures. Please look forward to it.

The FF XIII crossover Event was such a great success that we are proud to announce the next crossover event for June 2014:
Final Fantasy VII - in celebration of the PS4/XBox One HD Remake of this great classic, Cloud and some others will cross over to give you quests, battle alongside with you in fates (or even against you - I've been told a certain onewinged individual is said to be featured in his own limited time only Dungeon, dropping sweet Item Level 7 Weapons)

CNM is unlockable in limsa lominsa, you must beat all extreme primals, then challenge and beat thancred on a slurpee chugging contest. then ride ultima weapons back for more than a minute... and last but not least.. farm atma.. lots of lots of atmas. only then will you master the power of the canoe.
