I seem to be having interesting lag issues where I do not lag but everyone around me lags. For instance, i run around at Mor Dhona and "people watch", and I noticed that people around me who were also running can freeze for 2 seconds, and then 'reappear' at a further location. I'm sorry if I do not describe well.
Can anyone help me on this? Its been happening since Patch 2.4 and its starting to frustrate me, especially if I go for raids.
Like many others, I am getting really sick of the lag. It's been exceptionally bad since the 2.4 patch.
I am having the same issue... Players and mobs freeze for 5-10 seconds then skip around. When I am in raids, I'll see the AOE telegraphs for a split second and then it pops off, I usually die. I've checked with my provider and all is fine on my end. The odd thing is that I have an Alt on Brynhildr and I have no lag issues there... Is there something going on with the Aether data center? This all started happening a few days after 2.4 release. I love the game, it's amazing, but for the past few weeks it feels like I've wasted money on a game I can't play =(
I was running fine last night on ps4 and now today I go to log on and its so laggy it took a minute and a half for Fire 3 to hit a target.
It's been doing this all day and my connection is normal, my girlfriend can play on the laptop with no problem, and I'm at a loss on why this is happening. It makes no damn sense.
The day before yesterday (11/14) many of my FC-mates were complaining about lag spikes. Yesterday and into today (11/15-16) others, including myself, are now affected. Mobs are rubberbanding and forget crafting or gathering like this.
My free month is about up and I can't say this is convincing me to sub, hope it gets fixed soon.
Thanks!
Patch 2.4 was not debugged properly before it went live, so while new things were introduced or altered, other things specific to multiplayer content has worsened. Not intentional obviously, but this affects subscribers here in Australia. So, SE, if yu want to continue wanting a hardcore yet casual playing fan to stay with your non-sensical reasons to exclude other countries and time zones, then it seems to be more trouble than it is worth and of no enjoyment to me, a bit sad that a Final Fantasy fan can not continue to marvel his favourite characters all because a few senpai choose to not have an extra server or extra data allocation that which should virtually improve the game to actually attract subscribers, but from the feedback of SE, it all seems a bit much for them like they are holding out for something bigger and better yet this is what we are stuck with.
No point have a "free login weekend" if those people playing cannot do much!
Kinda off topic, but does this latency remind anyone of Final Fantasy IX? Man that game was sloooooooooow and it wasn't even online, yet feel I am getting the same speeds in this game at the moment.
having same issues with lag. my R is almost always 1.5k+ even when in a remote area.
Many abilities do not execute when using them in fight and it is of course worse inside instances.

I just started this game a week ago and am slightly disappointed as I will not continue my subscription if this is what is going to continue...sadly as I am enjoying this game immensely.
Unless anyone knows a way to help me resolve this I would appreciate it ._.
Might as well report in.
I'm on Goblin server, and I sometimes receive debilitating lag. As someone else said, I'm a WHM, and this means that those pauses where everyone stops moving and then the game plays catch-up means someone likely got killed.
However, I've noticed that sometimes my attacks/spells will connect, but they may be late in doing so. I've also noticed that I will DC for a second (literally) every now and again, and during these few seconds, enemies can hit and kill me -- but I can't touch them at all.
I'm playing on PS3 in the United States.
