Final Fantasy XIV Auto-Attack Video

I'd like/hope they give us the option to turn off recast timer (numbers) and just have the blue circle timer, would make the action bar look a bit better IMO.

Battle system looks a lot like FF11 now IMO, Pugilist has lost a lot of speed due to no spam attacking, not sure if that's a good thing or not.

I don't know if anyone has answered you yet but that isn't new stunned mobs can't move at all. I do it all the time to break shells.

I was also noticing the PUG speeds, not a big deal since I don't play PUG. Lancer looks right on cue though, and I am drooling over the new Chaos Thrust

Oh, so those ARE new weapon animations. I haven't made it to rank 50 on anything yet...

You guys seem to forget how mmo are or something. ffxiv will ALWAYS get patched. That is the nature of mmo. They are just fixing more then adding. Once they fix the major stuff then they will add. If your too much a cynic maybe go play a different game for a while. Only thing actually dragging the game down are the negetive posting from the cynics and not really the game. I have fun on ffxiv. I make my own fun. Pick somethong you like doing. And just do it. If there is nothing you enjoy, there never will be.

The letter said what it needed to say. He doesn't HAVE TO write them. He wants to do so since he is a first time being the head of a game and more importently an mmo which is a different beast.

As for AA, I like it. Its just fast enough to be enjoyable and not as slow as it looks. They just took time to show off a few skills. One thing I noticed that no one seems to even mention was the Action bar. Did anyone notice it got changed? And i like it.

I did notice the change to the action bar actually. I also like it.

The DMG has been scaled up due to AA being implemented. The only downfall is the fact you cant get TP or Hate generation as fast.

I feel pretty relieved by this, oddly. I didn't expect an update till July-ish, anyhow, and it's good they're learning to hold off on something until it's absolutely complete.
You can almost see a timid looking Yoshi-P going into a allegorical conference room full of rabid honey badger fans, knowing this might not be what they want to hear, but it's the reality and they're owning up to it as best they can.

Respect to this likely extremely stressed dev team for sticking it out and keeping us informed.

I'm sorry, you're just wrong. The first link had 378 words, the second link had 402 words, and the third link had 522. The new letter has a total of 512. Like I said it is COMPARABLE to what we have gotten in the past, especially in the middle of a new phase of work. Only one of the letters I posted had MORE words than the new letter. So I say again, with gusto, you're wrong. This is not the shortest letter we have ever gotten.

I loved it, mainly because of the animation and sounds.
