Not sure how spamming the same fates over and over on new classes is much different from spamming the same dungeons over and over on one class... but whatever.
When I'm not grinding myth for Whm (only just started that, and I only queue up for wp/ak twice a day, which gives me plenty of time each day to play other content in the game, and 2 days of breathing room where I don't have to queue up for it at all), or leveling up drg, pld, or btn, I like to hop back on Whm and queue up for the earlier dungeons with in-progress checked, just for fun and to help others.
Just the other day, I landed in Haukke Manor, and there was only a summoner there. her group had gotten to the final boss, but the tank had gone afk for 17 minutes or something so 2 quit, and I guess the tank either disconnected, or came back and quit. So I stuck it out with her for a few minutes until another DPS showed up. We tried taking the boss on with Carby as the tank, didn't succeed, so the monk left and came back as a tank, and another DPS popped in immediately, and then we won. THAT was fun, despite having completed that dungeon countless times before, not needing any of the gear involved, nor getting any exp progress out of it.
I started from day 1 before I knew what content would be in 2.0 to begin with. New Game= New Character Normally, it just so happens Yoshi-P was generous enough to let you ( and me) keep your 1.0 characters.
Have all 50's at the start of an MMO is unheard of, and you will mostly hit a wall with nothing to do in a MMO launch. So I personally felt it was "needed" to make a new character, so I can experience the game fresh.
Which is why I have plenty to do because I started over. ( And no I won't be making another character, that was a 1 time thing).
We've been hearing this a lot. Sounds like rushing through everything you need to do as fast as possible, to get it out of the way so you can go back to playing another game, or whatever irl things you wanna do. You're paying 15$ a month for about 12 hours of play. You're right, it really doesn't seem like a lot of fun.
I dunno, but if this was my case, I'd unsubscribe and save my 15$ for another game and/or maybe come back after a few months when there's new stuff I *want* to do.
Mm.. everyone here is basically complaining they're not allowed to do things at the super pace they want but in my opinion, restrictions like this need to be in place, not just to prolong content but to actually HELP some people who have no self control to balance real life and in game life. I think this is what a responsible company should be doing. There are a lot of easier ways SE could have used if they didn't care about the well being of their playerbase such as adding a super low rng on loot being dropped after initial lockout. This way people will be grinding coil like no tomorrow for a chance for another piece and thus giving them a purpose in their virtual lives and neglecting their real one.
Say what you may about "catering to casuals" but I see it more as "saving the hardcores"
Hello. I am a new poster and new to MMOs in general. I just wanted to say that I have been playing this game since mid October, and I'm still having a blast playing. I've been taking my time to enjoy the game's scenery and scale, that's why my class levels have been suffering, (I also started a female alt. to get the female exclusive event gear).
What I really wanted to mention is that fun is what is you make of it. I read a post about a guy who only leveled a combat class to 10 to unlock fishing and that's all he did, nothing wrong with it, just his preference on how he plays the game. So no matter what you do in the game, as long as you're still playing it you're are having some level of "fun".
Edit: *you are* having some level of "fun".
Not "you're are"
Why don't you edit your post instead of creating a new one to "edit"?
