EDIT: Also according to his resignation, Tanaka was going to redo the systems as well rather than "complete" them.

do you really believe this was his choice? major business knowledge of how things work there. this was a resign before you're fired. if you step down quietly we will allow you to keep your job. we are going in another direction and you will either back it or look for another place of employment. if you think otherwise you are turning a blind eye of who was to blame.

Yes I really do believe it was his choice, as he said it was his choice, he's still working on the project, and he said he was going to do the same thing Yoshida-P is doing right now (slowly implementing reworks of the current "problematic" systems).

This still doesn't change the fact that he released a crap of a game and that it was indeed his fault.

and that doesn't change the fact that since the development change the game is getting worse in alot of eyes since it is still losing members. remember in november the ones that hated the game left and now the ones that were giving the game a chance are leaving too.

i want the game to get better as much as the next guy which is why i still play daily. no i am not happy with the new direction, but will at least give it a chance before i make a final decision on it. too bad that people did not give tanaka the same opportunity. as soon as they seen they didn't like it they ran instead of giving them the time to make the corrections needed.

edit: it's funny this thread started as a thank you to tanaka and of course turned into the same flame fest from the same people calling others whiners now.

Same people? This is the first time I have done so, and it is inevitable considering how bad the game was upon release.

you're also not the first in here to do so. you come in and attack someone because they went back and gave the other shoe when people came in an appreciation thread bashing someone. i can appreciate the vision of where the game was intended to wind up, but in the same mind think it was in horrid shape upon release. this whole flame fest came up because a few people said they would have loved to see the original vision finished and the haters came in.
