What's the point with that quite lackluster story in Endwalker?

i dont think its healthy from the community to just tell people "ok just unsub bye"... we love the game and expected more from it. When square charges like 44 pounds each time a new expansion drops, you expecting to get an AAA experience. But i guess that's where i went wrong. It's just an mmo storyline..

Yeah I completely understand and I'm kind of in the same boat. I'm at the point where I'm deciding to either stay and completely disregard the story from now on, skipping all the cutscenes and just raiding, or unsubscribe. I haven't renewed my sub yet. Idk we'll see.

There's always the next expansion. I have faith in SE to recover and start over. Maybe this time they can focus on Garlemald and the politics instead of primals dictating our future.

They could also ignore our complaints and move forward making the game more anime. In which case I would prefer a notice ahead so I can duly skip all cutscenes. The gameplay and community are still enough to keep me around.

yea, I'm greatly hoping the next expansion will be better. I can't believe i'm writing this when one just came out.

Thankfully there's a ton of games coming out that should be rich in lore. Plenty of time to kick back and wait for SE to get back in stride. There's also plenty of books could I recommend if you prefer that front.

I'm waiting to see what they have to say in the upcoming interviews on the story but broadly the same.

On a side note, i dont know if this is just the biggest plot hole or oversight in the game, but does anyone know why the moon is visible in Elpis?

I'll probably stick around for the story since that was my primary reason for playing anyways. Dunno if I'll renew next patch but I'm still looking forward to seeing where they go with the next expansion. Here's hoping the inevitable Meracydia expansion will be the second coming of Heavensward.

Is there any reason why the unsundered world wouldn't have a moon? Was it even otherwise stated that the unsundered world doesn't have a moon?

The moon was created by Hydaelyn. It was specifically created to serve as Zodiark’s prison. The shadowbringers short story even highlights this.

Was it actually explicitly stated that she created the moon, or that she just imprisoned Zodiark there? Accompanying dialogue screenshots would be nice. Besides, I'm fairly certain none of this would preclude the possibility of the unsundered world having their own moon.
