Power-leveling is absolutely BROKEN

While I was living in Indiana for a year, my stepmother would use the word "facetious" a hell of a lot. And usually, she would excuse herself as, "not being facetious or anything, but," before saying what she will next. I think she used it as a genuine attempt to let you know that what she was about to say wasn't intended to insult you or make light of you at your expense.

Now, in what Travesty has said, I don't think he was trying to be facetious. Nor do I think he was at all.

The ONLY reason I'm bringing up the word is because you seem to like to use it. Also, I'm defending Travesty to an end.

You don´t NEED to do anything in a game, it´s not a obligation. I ENJOY to play the game and I play normal way (soloing, gl, missions).

Using powerlevel it´s like playing an offline game using a Trainer (little cheat programs that give you money, healthy, etc), you just rush your experience.

I´m not playing that way and still enjoying the game, play the way you enjoy the game, since you can play it in multiple ways.

I agree with OP in the idea that it's just too much. I don't think PLing is a big deal, but when you can get 18-36 on LNC in 6 hours without even being at the computer (I went to work) its just too much. I was excited at first, but then I saw my entire LS doing it every day since patch, and it dawned upon me that people are going to level EVERYTHING to 50 within a week, get bored because really the only thing worth doing right now is Ifrit, and once they beat Ifrit, what else is there to do with all of those 50's?

I've been doing what I can to try and warn my LS of the outcomes of letting themselves PL/get PLed. This at face value is wonderful exp but in the long-run it will kill the game because people will get bored and have nothing left to do.

I swear. People complained their faces off AGAINST a level-sync system and then this comes along and half the community loves it.

That sums up my opinion.

I think most people in support of it recognize that the PL ride pretty much ends at 40 (at least from what I've heard). Yeah you can get good EXP after that in spiritbond parties, but at that point you're starting to pull your weight and I wouldn't call it PL anymore. People can still let you AFK if they want but they could do that pre-patch also so there's nothing new to talk about here in that regard.
