When going for the random 9x seed pop do u plant all 8 plants with G3 shroud soil or do u mix and match?

I find Sylkis buds to be very rng. I quit trying to cross Dzameal and Krakka beacause it kept yielding cabbage and honey lemons

All shroud, since it's 2-way cross. Main reason I do it is that I want yield+ on Krakka anyways. If Sylkis happens it's just a nice bonus.

Something is very wrong if you are getting Cabbage and Honey lemons. No current crosses have a chance at 3 different seeds, so whatever cross you are doing is never going to produce Sylkis. Either you are planting incorrectly or that cross was incorrectly recorded.

No chocobo items except Gysahl Greens are 100% guaranteed so everything is going to be "very rng".

I'm almost positive they ninja nerfed the ability to get the Tier 2 Chocobo food seeds from Shroud Soil. A month ago I was averaging hitting the multiple seed harvest once out of every 8 harvests, but now (I think since 2.38) I've harvested around 60 krakka plants + whatever I was crossing them with and have yield 12 mandrake seeds about 5 times and nothing else.

mh, I just got 2x9 Curiel Seeds out of 3 deluxe patches

Does anyone have any info on how gysahl greens cross with other plants? Seems to me like nobody's done any experimenting with them at all, nor can I find what other well-known plants they might be analogous to (like how all the "dye" fruits are analogous to krakka/produce the same crosses).

I decided to do a bit of experimenting before patch and so far I got:

Gysahl greens + Honey lemon = Tantalplant or Mirror apple
Gysahl greens + Prickly pineapple <=> Mimett gourd or Rolanberry
Gysahl greens + Dzemael tomato <=> Sylkis bud or ?

Anybody knows how the patch update would work for 2.4? Do I have to login a few mins before the maintenance start and login again a few mins after the maintenance end just to make sure that my crops wont die?

Most crops wither after 36 hours and die after 72 hours. Many high tier, like glazenuts, thav onions etc. wither after 24 and die after 48 hours. So if you tend them the day before the maintenance you should be fine ^^

Like Magistrella says it should be ok. Personally I plan to tend them the in the morning right before the maintenance starts, and then ask the FC to tend the plants as soon as someone comes online.
