SMN - Why it is not a very interesting job and not a good upgrade from ACN

I was saying that you should control a incomplete version thats looks like a deform primal, but is alot bigger then the egi's (about similar height to a few races) and they look like the designers actually put some work into making them. Im not saying look like and be as big as the real primals thats stupid.

I can literally smell your BS from here. You made several posts in the past saying SMN is worse than BLM or even the worst DPS in general. Hell, you said not one page ago saying SMN is only good in theory, not practice. Lying is going to get you even deeper in the hole, not like you're in pretty deep already.

To me, it just looks like he can't play properly and want more free damage coming from the summon itself and less coming from the summoner.

I just think its funny people dont realise that SMN is one of the best DPS classes for SCoB- Which is the endgame we have currently.

In a vaccum Monk should DPS more, but in reality SMN (Unless kiting T7) should take the cake.

Face it this thread isn't dying until everybody is happy. Which will be never, because nobody knows what they want until they have it. But I still find this fun to talk about. :P

No doubt Summoner needs a lot of work. I think the general consensus is that Summoners don't feel like Summoners; which needs to be addressed.

Honestly with how the classes actually play (Solo/4-man/8-man), I would like to see Arcanist turn into Magus and Dark Knight. The reason behind that is the fact that Dots/Bane/Fester/Ruin represents the CORE of a Summoner... that's not very summonerish at all. The fact that a SUMMONER has only one pet is also a major issue.

I would like to see more of the summoners skills come from your pets. For example, buttons 1 2 3 4 would change depending on which summon you have out and the pet would be much more exciting and aggressive.

I mean whats going to happen when Ramuh and Shiva come out? Little ice attacks and a 5 minute cooldown AoE Stun? Again, doesn't feel like a Summoner; who calls upon the power of the Primals, who are pretty much demi-gods.
