Viera and Hrothgar Megathread

Also, please untie my mane from my face so I can change between my 2 hairstyles when Im feeling particularly cute or moody without having to shell out $10 T_T

Literally that baffels me SO much. I don't understand, the community buys mogstation items anyways... I don't understand why they would do this...

I'm sure that's true, but a big part of the issue here is in their communication. I know people are getting tired of "but they promiiiiiiiiiiised", but when they say they'll be adding more hairstyles/manes/faces in future patches, to most people that doesn't read as "possibly next expansion when we've added the counterparts so it's better for our workflow".

Now this may not have been the original intention and they pivoted when they saw the outcry for male Viera and female Hrothgar, but that doesn't help players of female Viera or male Hrothgar any so it still gives a feeling of being strung along with nothing to show for.

that‘s the most unfair thing ever seriously. i would go as far and say give the males the option to change their face at the aesthetician as a COMPENSATION until new manes arrive or get untied to the face!!

Just keeping threads contained and active and keep talking about it seems to have worked for male Viera and female Hrothgar, so this is basically the best we can do.

You are right, I think it's good that the dev team is also playing the game, this keeps them in touch with us, but they don't know how hard it is to cope with expectations and the loooong wait just to get a tiny bit of information, they definitely deserve to be called out for this.

That's basically it yeah.

I don't think anyone (well, almost no one because there's always someone :rolleyes:) is strongly against their inclusion, but this wasn't even a case of the community getting themselves hyped over nothing. They set the expectation we'd be getting something throughout the expansion with the "upcoming patches" and "just wait a little bit longer" comments.

So even if it makes sense for the workflow to add them first before they work on the rest, they made it sound like male Viera and female Hrothgar were solidly on the back burner. To see them confirmed before any news at all about what they were supposed to be adding in patches is just :confused::confused::confused:

The expansion is still a ways off so I'm sure there's more to be announced that wasn't deemed big enough for Fan Fest, but the bar is on the floor at this point in terms of expectations and somehow it's still disappointing.

There was too much to talk about on the fan fest and too little time, everything got late in the second day. Also I think that if they would speak about everything no good surprises would be announced in the following couple of months. I still have hope but let's see!
