I also used to sit like that all the time. Poor knees. That W position doesn't fit with the personality of my au ra though. Seiza it is.
Yeah, I was really hoping for something reasonable like the kneeling position female Highlanders have. The "W" sitting position just looks awkward (if that's what it is) and I don't really care for the seiza either.
Ah, well, c'est la vie, right? (/prays for a 3rd sitting position)
As a kid, with the flexibility only children have, it used to seem pretty comfortable. It'd be painful to try now, though. Either it's supposed to make her look more child-like or Auri are just more flexible than humans are. (We could be generous and assume the later, but given the overall design of Auri women, I expect that to SE it's more about looking like a child.)
Yeah, I tried sitting like that and while my knees bend properly with some discomfort, my ankles just won't flatten out like that.
>.<
Stupid antics aside, if the females continue to have such moé moé cutesy body language I'm seriously going to consider changing to a male instead.
Yep same. I really wanted her to have a bored and serious attitude but...ugh. I kinda like the male au ra I made too, but all of my glamour gear is for females. Swimsuits and all, I mean.
I wanted a serious and focused (but not quite intense) look, and put considerable effort into overcoming the inherent moé factor. Unfortunately, no amount of design nuance can overcome their animations.
C'mon, SE! I was expecting them to be kind of cute from the outset, but don't tell me you designed Auri women specifically to be moéblobs!
As someone who wasn't even aware that W position sitting was a thing, all I gotta say is it looks incredibly uncomfortable.
Only time I've ever seen anyone sit in that position was completely involuntary on their part as that's how gravity left them upon their wipe out of a landing.
Needless to say, they didn't stay that way for long for various reasons one of which was undoubtedly how uncomfortable it was.
