well I talked to the wife today about TERA and she said she wanted to see it to so she is letting me put it on her desktop lol
Before you go "but you said you couldn't play..." I meant on my laptop...wife has a nice desktop she plays FF XI on and will play ARR on it to. I just wanted to put it on my laptop and not take up space on her desktop but she wants to try so lol

I've only seen one gaming setup for a gaming couple and it still boggles my mind how they do it. (The gaming together I mean).

Neither was mine before ffxiv. I ended up learning how to shop for graphic cards, and cutting a few plastic bits to make sure it fits.

I was looking for a new "project" a few weeks ago, after reaching the half way mark on my 3rd Borderlands 2 run with my brothers. We've finished Diablo 3 on inferno several times already, and i got tired of playing WoW on my own (since i got less play time then my brothers and they are both raiders).

After searching for a new game we all of us would like to play, we've settled for Guild Wars 2. I must say, i find it rather tough to solo in Guild Wars 2. I tend to die a lot when i solo. Hehehe

Tera was an option, but my brothers didn't really want to play an action mmo like Tera (and Guild Wars 2 was cheaper too) (^_^; )

Since quite a few people here play Tera, i was wondering if there are also people in here who play Guild Wars 2 (till ARR is released).

My Guild Wars 2 characters a located on the Whiteside Ridge server. In case anyone is interested. (^_~ )

You live Jacksonville FL? I'm from Jacksonville AL hahaha. I live way up north here in ND now though. Miami is a ways away from here.

It's good to try out new games every once in awhile. It keeps you grounded and reminds you that you never have to settle for anything less. I for one am teeming with excitement and can barely control my nerves as I wait impatiently for ARR. My facebook keeps popping up with new images from the game and I can vividly remember my various exploits and epic failures.

I am happy to say I have the same feeling now as I did when FFXIV was first announced as a tech demo. Woot!

Speaking of tech demos. I will assume everyone has seen the ARR trailer by now. There is a Gladiator in it using a shield specifically for mages. Not that he shouldn't be able to. But it's still silly. I also like the demo for Versus. I always wondered how we'd be able to use those swords like that. Then I thought maybe he was the bad guy. Scary.

What with FFXIII coming to a close with the last installment. I do hope they bring out versus next. Or perhaps import Agito to english. aye SE, you make too many awesome games and then you don't know what to do with them. I wonder if they will hold any more contests after ARR is released. Honestly, I never went to these forums until after server shutdown. I would rather be playing then discussing. I guess it's a good thing then, since I got to meet so many great people. Let's keep in touch.

I am being all sentimental all of a sudden. I used to play FFXI with Nii, 4 years I think. Around about that. We never did too much endgame stuff. Dynamis was our greatest achievement and still we never went to dream world or anything major in White Gate. We tried our best though and had alot of fun meeting new people and made great friends. When ARR is released. Let's not hold back. Let's do stuff so we never look back and regret. I look forward to partying with everyone.

As a final note. I probably could have posted all of this in one post. But it's fun(ner?) this way. I am running out of things to write however. I suppose I should make a mention about the Tag Cloud....

There are alot of memories just inside it alot. Like our personal time capsule. If any passerby were to just look at that. They would know alot about our little community here. Hakuna Matata stands out for me. It means "No Worries." If you didn't already know. But if you didn't. No worries. ;p. I just added a new one.

Happy Memories. As this thread reaches its 3,000th post. What is your happiest memory? Did you make a friend while spamming Dunesfolk for Dinner? Tell me your happy memories.

Happiest memory? Becoming Supreme Overlord over an Oceanic Linkshell dunno, had lots of fun times in general. I was really happy when I joined the LS, I was quite nervous about applying. I was happy about reaching certain achievements like my first r50 class, then getting all r50s, and when we defeated bosses for the first time. Oh and getting my relic was a very happy day.

(not making the vide, just Starlight Celebration in general, the music just set the mood perfectly for spending a happy Christmas time with friends)

I'd say my happiest memory was a linkshell race the Star Onions did. It was a long slog of laps across the Mor Dhona map, before they dumbed down the mobs. it was rife with lvl 85 ogres and lvl 99 rainbow basilisks, and a horde of pugots, some I even aggroed without dying. It was a lot of fun, just the sort of thing LSes do to get people to know each other.

We still got together for parties, holiday events, and even crafting sessions on the steps of Uldah. But that one really felt like we were getting together for each other, and it was wonderful, even with all the map issues coming out, there was still ways to enjoy what we had.

That one stuck out in my mind.

One of my happiest memories was finding a spot for my first LS to hang out and craft in Ul'dah, and everyone actually came and stayed around for a few hours. :) I got all my crafts up to lv 10 and made a lot of new friends; most of them are in my social LS and Facebook group and played 1.0 until the very end. I think I cancelled my WoW subscription afterwards and stuck with this game instead. I prefer XIV's community.

The other one was the Mini Minstrel. I met even more awesome people on the forums. :o

I couldn't pick just one!

My best memory huh. Hmm, I can't pinpoint the best, but I have a few I remember fondly.

I remember going into Nanawa Mines for the first time, i was just solo'ing some leve and I asked if anyone wanted to team up for them. There was a linkshell there that picked me up. By the end of it they asked me to join haha. I'm still with Counterpost today :)

There was when I met my first white mage in crime Hamtaro! I was crafting in Ul'dah, and only 1 person was shouting for anything. WHM AF he called! He shouted for quite awhile with no luck, and then I was like "Might as well get a feel for the fight (this was just after I hit 50 with my first class and hadn't done the af quests yet) When I /t'd him he said no one else was biting. I stuck around till we finally got a party going, we talked for quite awhile. We beat that fight pretty easy and afterwards we both came to the conclusion. We wanted yo max every battle class we could before shutdown. And damn THOSE memories, of getting the Paragons crown in 3 months. That was amazing. We had a ton of fun. XD

While getting those classes up, I met another white mage in crime. Alphi! he shared our goal of maxing every battle class, and took it one step further and was trying to max DoH and DoL ass well. We started exping together, and after we finished the battle class shortly before release, we worked on obliterating moogles...and other primals occasionally. All those fight against the King were awesome.

oh and exploring every area in game, getting to every crystel was a lot of fun. I remember having trouble with one in the Black Shroud and my linkshell offering to act as bait for me. Haha. That was fun.

oh and this one Natalan party, wow it was awesome. 7 other awesome people, we talked about everything for hours. I remember when are tank was joking with me. "Zero, hey Zero, its your turn to grab"

"ok......LEEEEEEERRRRRROOOOOOYYYY JEEEEEEEEEEEEENNNNNNNNNKKKKKKKIIIIIINNNNNNSSSSS*

I ran out into the middle of that pit just before the wolf pits, grabbed the WHOLE thing and brought it back to everyone. I was the only one that died XD We all laughed are buts off afterwards, it took us a good while to stop laughing and start killing things again. We ended up creating a linkshell with the frew of us, and went on to do lots of things together, from primals to darnus :3. Freaking awesome people.

Ah but this has been super long, and its making me nostalgic :(

I can't wait to make lost of new memories in ARR. I really can't wait.
