Or you could try reading the lore and enjoying the game

That's fun unless you've done it already. Why is this a response though? xD For those of us who like alt characters, it seems overly tedious to play because of the small things that take up time like the endless amount of cutscenes/dialogues that I've seen three-four times already. Because you want to skip over something doesn't mean you don't care about what it is showing 100% of the time.
A Q-o-L change I would like to see is being able to dye more parts of armors instead of just one section. I think that'd be neat. ^^
A "hood down" option visually for cowls.
auto-sort for retainers.
I'd like to make a few surgestions as well:
- Make all gears in the game dyeable, except for AFs. And not just the main color but 1-2 sub colors for smaller parts as well.
- DoM robes need more details & varieties, I've seen a lot of NPCs ropes that are far more better than player's robes.
- The fate reward popup should appear on the side of the screen instead of right in my face, along with pt teleport popup, or at least make them available to customize in HUD layout.
- Make it possible to choose which quest to track, & add filters like hunting log, side quests, dungeons to Recommendation list, cause things usually got hide away if there aren't enough space to list them.
- Allow players to queue DF as solo while in a pt doing FATEs, or using chocobo companion, & make levesquests don't appear to other pt members as well, since no one else can get any benefits from them anyways.
- The in-game connection status (next to the clock) need to be in ms latency. It's easier to understand by most players, instead of sending & receiving.
- Marketboard need to be in other crowded camps like quarrymill or dragon head, ect... instead of just the 3 starting cities.
- /hood.

+1 would love to see this, I play the game sound out of my speakers normally but sometimes throw website streams (twitch, niconico etc) on the TV with sound output there & would prefer to keep the game sound set to my normal PC speakers (non-default in this instance).
Sorry if I'm re-suggesting. 70+ pages
I would love to be able to play multiplayer in my MMO ^_^
- Don't force us to play solo, allow parties to do the main story
- Don't force us to party to do the main story, allow any sized party (attempt) to do Dungeons
I'm not saying I want the main story easier, but the biggest reason my wife and I got this game was to play through the story together and not have to disband for every instance fight. On the flip-side, I don't like being forced into a "Light Party" for the Dungeons, to progress the story as well (this isn't as big of a deal for me, as the other seeing as this is a MMO).
P.S. - Allow all forms of Leve-sharing, couldn't even be in a party while doing them with Botanist.
I managed to pick up my AF gear in 1.0. I had to do the AF quests again in ARR. If you leave AF pieces from 1.0 in your Armoire while you're doing the AF quests in ARR, you get duplicate pieces of AF gear. However, you can't sell the duplicates, you can't put them in your Armoire (the Armoire will only store one of each AF piece), and you can't discard them. So those duplicate AF pieces are forever stuck in your inventory.
Same thing with swimsuits from the Summer Festival. I picked up a few swimsuits, not knowing that they were identical to the ones from 1.0. Again, you can't sell them, store duplicates in your Armoire, or discard them.
Please, SE, make it possible to discard duplicate AF gear/swimsuits. I've got about 11 pieces of duplicate gear that I can't get rid of, and which are currently taking up slots in my inventory. Thanks.
Please,

I'd like to suggest the addition of CG cutscenes to make the story more dynamic and more at home to a numbered Final Fantasy game. I'd also like in-game cutscenes to add more voice acting, because it was sad to hear only a few select scenes voiced. I hope this is considered! :(
