One to Fifty, One Zone - Long OP

I posted this long ago but if they can add ghost NPC (NPC that you can't talk to, they are bit transparent so you know they are just visual effect) walking in cities it would be awesome... kind of like Phantasy Star Universe had in the cities. Might be hard on server processor but I loved how they did that, made the cities look more alive + having regular NPC which had no transparent.

They don't know how to respond is my guess. Either A.) They don't care and aren't planning anything, or B.) They are already doing something about it but are information Nazis and can't even tell us they are looking into a game changing aspect such as this because that would give us too much information and give us unlimited power, setting us up for world domination where we would make SE do the most demeaning tasks. That's my logical and well thought out opinion though.

You would think saying that they plan to do it would ease so many peoples minds...if they were going to do it, even if its later down the line, they would say something.

my guess is they arent and dont want to respond to massive amounts of BOOs and ragequits because they wont fix a massive issue.

And they have already responded to a couple if not more threads today, so im guessing they just arent going to say anything. Guess it will be fun to see how long they let this go before they lock it down.

I just spent 3 hours leveling DNC in ffxi from 30 - 33.

It was great. I had fun. Quifim is a desolate cliff landscape of ice and wind, giants and well....fish, worms and crabs.

It felt like I was getting somewhere. It wasn't that much of a grind. And the best bit?? When the sun goes down the evil mobs come out to prey on the weak nooobs. The panic sets in as you dash to cover, even for vets just leveling old jobs.

You won't know what my point is if you've never played 11, but there's something unique about areas like that.

Quifim was packed with people, solo, duo and grouping. You see the sun change and start to go down, then you hear the skeletons move across the snow. Everyone in level range craps their pants and runs.

This stuff was designed 10 years ago!

I'm sure the forums mods are "looking into it" with the dev's who's going to reply with "we're looking into it" and respond

We have checked with the devs regarding this one but at this time we can only say that the battle system and other UI needs to be fixed before we can work on this major issue, but please know that "We're looking into it"

I do miss the excitement of those quifim parties.

I loved how dynamic and different each zone is in 11. Every new leveling area is a new experience.

I'm definitely not in the 'make FFXIV FFXI-2' camp, but... I gotta admit, those were good times. I remember how we used to plan everything based on the clock when leveling there. "OMG guys, it's gonna be night in a game-hour, we gotta move, now!" The wights that come out at night in Thanalan just don't quite compare to the abject horror that was Qufim at night.

XI is even able to support this. In the abyssea zones there are un-targetable NPCs and monsters that walk around and fight each other just for show.

You would think that anything they're able to add to their 9 year old MMO would be a piece of cake to recreate in XIV, but for now it seems like even simple expectations can't be fulfilled without major overhauls. :(
