The Last Word – Storm over Gridania

All I can say is all the zones seem to be very rainy lately.

Day (1) Warnings, crystals dropping, no music
Day (2) Raining everywhere but the ferry

That's all I have atm if anyone knows more let's try and figure this out.

Wasn't the 6th Umbral Era a time of great flood?

Full thunderstorm on the ferry ride over just now, seems the storm's spread pretty much everywhere.

You think it'll be something new every day leading up to the 7th day?

It's not really 7th day, its the 7th umbral era.

Can't really figure out any dates based on that.

That is the way I'm leaning on this. Still a bit early to say for sure. It might be a good idea to note the weather hourly to see if we see a pattern or if we can piece it together. Also, new dialogue with npc's would help. I think it will be 7 rl days though from what I've seen so far.

it only makes sense that whatever will happen will happen in 7 days.

Not because of the prophecy, but simply because it gives time to build the hype, and it's better for the "event" to happen on a week end, so that more people gets to enjoy it.

Edit: now there's a green NPC dot in the minimap right where the big floating eggs are, no visible NPC or selectable anything though.

The crystals are losing their aspect... This could be bad for the primals..

I am just wondering if there something we should be doing with these crystals, like trade to something. I don't know but it seems reasonable we're to be doing something with them since they are dropping.

That green dot (in the middle of the road in Ul'dah) has been there since the patch. I think it's just the easter egg above it though.

I thought the Primals and the beast tribes WANTED unaspected crystals?

Sadly, I can't re-watch old cut-scenes so my memory is hazy, but I thought that was the point.

Yeah, I wouldn't attach any RL time for things to really kick start in patch 1.18. It will come when its ready.

I'm by no means an MMO expert nor I have i played many of them but I REALLY like the way this is going in telling the lore. It make the game/world feel more alive and real, and makes the player feel like they are living it. MMO's I've played in the past always felt like the event already happened an I have no part in it. Hope this form of story telling keeps up.

I'm on Bodhum and I see that weird npc dot under the eggs too. I don't know how long it's been there but it is there I suppose.

Maybe it's been mentioned, maybe not. Either way, a friend sent me this image. Coincidence? Possibly. :x

Some of the NPCs mention Arcanists running around saying "End of days" type of things. That's pretty much what the GM is doing.

This event is starting to creep me out a bit haha. It's really cool though, I'm excited to find out what's coming.

All this foreboding is pretty awesome though if you ask me.

A guard at Camp Black brush in Thanalan says a Garlean airship blew up a ferry, while another says they've stepped up patrols.

Has anyone spoken to any of the Gridania/Black Shroud area NPCs or Limsa/La Noscea NPCs and able to post up what they are saying??

It also is very foggy in Thanalan atm.

Edit: 5 minutes later, it is raining again. lol this is so odd.

Edit: Ran from Drybone to Gridania. It is raining in Gridania as well.

its definitely cool how sombre and foreboding everything is, im absolutely loving the impending doom.
an NPC at black brush said a fairy was just sank and that they are now tightening their defenses.
what i dont get it is what thanalans music has anything to do with anything at all.

well whatevers going to happen isnt going to happen overnight, im expecting at least a week of this.
