It's a good game, I can definitely tip my hat to that.

Congratulations Yoshi-P, dev team, and SE. I think you (re-)made a winner here.

This game is one of the most stunning recoveries in gaming history. It truly is a phoenix of gaming and that's 100% due to YoshiP and his team. I've enjoyed the game thoroughly and can't wait to play more, and I really hope YoshiP and everyone on the team knows that there are more satisfied people than angry, and while it sucks to have angry customers it will pass.

Thank you so much for all your time and effort that you invested in FFXIV ARR. I was involved in FFXIV alpha/betas and 1.0 CE holder and you have exceeded my expectation. Now this is a title worthy of the Final Fantasy name :)

Despite not being to log in much over the last few days, I want to say thank you Yoshi for all your hard work. I've been playing since closed beta and I think the game looks amazing. It takes balls to get up on stage and tear up. It shows your passion and dedication to this game, but most of all it shows how human you are. I never paid for than a month at a time for a MMO sub, but to show my support and appreciation for your dedication, I'm subbing 6 months right up front.

I have been following FFXIV since early 2010 and I can honestly say it has been worth the wait. I look forward to playing this game for the next 10 years! I hope you all can enjoy a well deserved holiday now. :)

This game is amazing. The issues will get worked out, and there are far more people who are happy with the game than the people who are constantly complaining. Thank you for the best game since FFXI.

I think the game is great as well and I think the development team has done a terrific job, however given the state that SE is in financially this definitely will hurt them. This whole thing is annoying people unfortunately and it will effect their revenue. I think most people would be very happy with honest updates to the state of the servers and if it is fixable and a time frame they might have things in order perhaps would lead to higher retention rates for the game and would be better for the whole community. (Maybe the higher up's in SE don't want them to admit fault for anything and to keep people guessing, hard to say though.)

The devs should be pleased with the quality of game they have put out. Server issues aside, this game is great and I am enjoying it, thoroughly. Keep it up, guys.

I remember when FFXIV came out. I got it as soon as I could. The game had many design issues, but I stuck with it. Then I found out they brought in a new dev team under the guidance of someone I hadn't heard of before. Since then I saw the game continuously improve. The announcement of the V2.0 and seeing the concept drawing really got me excited for it. I followed many of the letters from Yoshi-P and the development of the game as it progressed (I only wish I had the money at the time to stay subscribed for the legacy bonuses, but it is what it is.) Yes, there have been terrible terrible log in issues since the early access began, but it will get resolved eventually. I woke up really early last Sunday and played for the whole day until the game crashed, which I took as an indication I'd had my fill.

So, I'd like to say the following:

Thank you.
This is the game I have been waiting for.
This is the MMO I have been waiting for.
This is the Final Fantasy I have been waiting for.

Thanks for my next ten years gaming.

I saw Yoshida twice, on the Gamescom 2012 and this year.
You could see that he was really stressed and tired, but he still stuck around for all 4 days and even played some fights together with us.

I love this beautiful world you have made for us! So far the story has been interesting and engaging, the music has been absolutely wonderful (years from now I'll look back on some of these pieces with the same glowing nostalgia as I did on old Windurst music, I know it!), and the game play is fast-paced and exciting. You've made a wonderful MMO that seems true to the Final Fantasy name. You have done well, but there is still much work to be done until all of your players can enjoy a stable gaming experience with friends. I'm excited for the future of this game, there is obvious talent and care at work here.

I'm a 9-5 worker and can never play if this is how every evening is going to be.

After a days of not being able to log in and stay in today was a huge turning point. I was able to log in and play ALL day and while I am simply exhausted (and my shoulder hurts like hell) I have had the best time in a MMO since my time in FFXI.

I still think there should have been a few more servers for the EU community but like the man say's its a thank you thread and I applaud your work, effort and all round genius.

Once again I say... Arigatou gozaimashita... every single one of you guys helped sustain this game which was beset with a huge amount of problems; and yet you refused to let it sink and righted the ship into the phenomenal element that is is today. The road has been extremely rough but you have all proven to have the spirits of warriors with your honour on the line.

Again, we thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. Stay on course, full sail ahead, the wind always at your backs, the sunshine warm upon thy faces and know that there will always be many of us that will continue to support this game well into the future for many years to come.

Though there are rocky parts, ultimately things will work themselves out. I cannot speak for everyone, but for myself I am happy with my experience and will continue on, wherever you and your team decide to take the game.

The environment, the game, the world, the crafting oh my goodness, so fun. The team did a wonderful job in re-birthing Final Fantasy XIV.
This is a Final Fantasy world I can truly, truly enjoy and explore.

I know I missed someone...

From what I've been able to experience...

Team Yoshida and Co. have done an amazing job. I hung in there for 1.0 and loved it for what it was. However, words can't describe how happy I am/was to be able to revisit Eorzea.

Like everyone else, still waiting on those stubborn servers to lighten up. But nonetheless, the team did a lot of good and its unfortunate its being spoiled by those stubborn servers.
